Remarks :

The college management does the best it can. Some of it's decisions are unpopular, but they are not autocratic, and there is a good discussion with the student representatives.

Entrance Preview :

IIT JEE, AIR Rank 137. I was good at Maths and in Bhopal it made sense to try it. I was keen on getting into an IIT, and IIT Delhi had a lot of my friends.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It was well structured. It started with the basics and didn't stress on learning languages. There was a deeper emphasis on the thought process, and how to keep things modular. As the course progressed, we were deeper and deeper into what we wanted to do. By the third year, we could start picking courses along our interests. Our final projects were mostly in the stream we had chosen and it was a well guided, well rounded research. Electives I chose were Database and Database implementation. Also AI and Logic.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes, after the third year there are compulsory internships. A host of companies came to campus from Google, to Yahoo, Oracle & Bell Labs. Stipends would vary between 15k to 35k.

Placement Experience :

Placements are top notch. They are structured over december and if needs be january. Companies line up with their offers and JDs to the TNP, which houses the database of all students and their resumes. Companies offer anything between 6 lakh p.a. to 40 lakh. Day 1 companies used to be Fin based, but are now Startups. Consults pay a high amount too.

College Events :

Technical: There was a tech fest. As with any IIT getting sponsors for tech fests was never a problem. We would have Google sponsoring the events regularly. The level of the tech fests wasn't supremely competitive. But there was good participation in Delhi. Cultural: Rendezvous was the biggest event in IIT by far. It's the cultural fest and lasts 3-4 days. It brings a lot of elements together. From music to dance to debating. Sports: We also have a sports fest which covers everything from football to volleyball to cricket.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees are subsidized, so turns out to be roughly 18,000 for a semester. Hostel fees are also subsidized, so you'd spent less than 30k a semester overall. That entitles you to stay in the hostel, all your meals and you'd get a pick up and drop by bus twice a day from hostel to campus.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

SBI offers a loan of upto 4 lakh rupees that you can avail. It's a simple plan and interest is charged only after you leave college. Most students are placed well and it's easy to pay back the loan. Also 4 lakh covers your entire education through 4 years including any discretionary payments you want to make.

Campus Life :

Gender ratio was very skewed. There were 3 girls in our computer science batch of 63. Extra curriculars are aplenty. You can be assured that you will find something to do almost every second day of the week. You can take up debating, poetry, writing, painting & arts, entrepreneurship and sports.

Hostel Facilities :

For the first 2 years we had sharing rooms. 2 people to a room.Very few people stayed outside campus and it wasn't encouraged. The rooms were sufficient, though you couldn't keep either a heater or a cooler in your room.Mess food was mess food. Some days y

Alumni/Alumna :

Seniors are helpful. Most students have faced the same amount of torture, so everyone is understanding. Also, the alumni have a deep love for all people IIT, so there is a great acceptance once you graduate.

Exam Structure :

There are three exams. 2 minors and 1 major. But the assignments and tests are more regular and have a deeper emphasis. Yes, labs are frequent and you tend to have a hectic time in Computer Science. You'd have probably one chill week and then all hell wou

Faculty :

Excellent faculty. Teachers were dedicated and knew their subjects really well.In computer science in particular, professors knew their courses inside out, and could & would catch students bluffing, or copying assignments. Professors were project oriented

Placement Experience:

The placements can happen in 3rd year too but mostly in 4th year. Most of the placements is by mass recruiter companies like TCS. Percentage of overall students getting placements would be approx 60% since most don't hit the CGPA requirement (approx because this data is not public). The highest placement was by Microsoft, Amazon and others, 52 LPA, 45 LPA, 44 LPA, though these were off campus. My plans would be to build my resume in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th college years and then get the degree issued by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in my college especially for cs/it and se packages are great. Core companies are less comparatively but there is also good no. of jobs. Top recruiters are Google, Samsung, epic, cisco, Microsoft, IOCL, BHEL, IAF, Indian Navy. During this pandemic visiting companies are less like google didn't come for placements. In software branches, 95-97 percent of students are easily placed. Core branches are on the weaker side in this college. Around 450 companies come every year for placements and internships and easily 700-800 students get jobs. The highest package offered was around 45 lakhs and the average was 12 lakhs. I plan to get a job at the college itself.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th-semester student is eligible to take a participant in campus placement. There are various companies are comes for the placement but there are quite small. One big company Maruti Suzuki come here for placement which is the most highlighting. The highest package is 8 lpa and the average is around 3-4 LPA. After getting 70% you are eligible to participate in every company. I am prepared for software companies.

Remarks:

The Placement of our university is commendable with our students placed at big tech companies like Microsoft, Goldmann Sachs, IBM, Amazon, Flipkart. Also situated in the heart of old Delhi, we have quite good campus life. The faculty here is highly qualified and experienced, being graduates of colleges and universities like DTU, IITs etc. Being an all girls University, it is the most popular choice for the companies to hire women tech force for their companies offering them respectable salary packages. The average salary packages offered here is approx 11 lacs.

My Overall experience of this college is nice. I have made some great memories and friends here. The crowd that comes here is well groomed but it's still on every individual as to what kind of people they seek to be with. College's connectivity with places is very good. The college is just 4-5 metro stations away from major hangout places like CP, GTB nagar and NSP.
