Small campus but great opportunities.

Dislikes

  • Campus size is quite small. May be congested for some.
  • Lack of "Campus Map". First time students may not be able to find classes on time.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Curriculum wise it is somewhat relevant to the industry standards. Though you would have to do some self coding practice for a better placement. The frequency of the exams is good, 2 exams in each semester (total 8 semesters), timing provided is enough for some and a little less for some.

Placement Experience :

The placements can happen in 3rd year too but mostly in 4th year. Most of the placements is by mass recruiter companies like TCS. Percentage of overall students getting placements would be approx 60% since most don't hit the CGPA requirement (approx because this data is not public). The highest placement was by Microsoft, Amazon and others, 52 LPA, 45 LPA, 44 LPA, though these were off campus. My plans would be to build my resume in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th college years and then get the degree issued by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The first year fees for 2024 batch is approx 1,59,500 (paid 1,000 admission fees, 1,500 counselling fees, 96,000 at GGSIPU portal and 62,000 at GTBIT college). There is no category or sub-category fee reliefs. The overall fees is on the rise 2023 batch fees was 1.30 lakh and 2022 batch fees was 1.10 lakh. *The fees for Management Quota would be higher.

Campus Life :

Campus life is great despite the size of campus being small. Mostly there are parties for freshers being held every year in August-September and technical festivals being held every 3 months. The library membership is included in the fee structure. Range of books is only academic related and technical books. Almost all classes are equip with ACs after the covid time, there is 1 projector room and a lot of labs for each subject. There is a small sports ground in the college used for Basketball, Volleyball, Cricket, Badminton. Hari Nagar Sports Complex is nearby too. The college also has a gym in the basement the timings are 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. There are many societies in the college like GDSC (tech), IEEE (tech), Nexus (AI tech), Swaas (Eco tech), Luna (Astronomy) and many clubs for sports. games, and different fields of interest. The societies have an overall positive in a student's life.

Admission :

Admission was held through GGSIPU, they use JEE result for seat allocation and 2500 for miscellaneous fees. I chose GTBIT over ADGITM and VIPS because the locality of ADGITM is not that good, there are some crimes happening in Seelampur, and BTech program of VIPS is recently launched so there are no placement records yet.

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio is quite decent. Student can easily approach all teachers as they are very chill. Only 2-3 teachers may be a little strict. Students are evaluated by CGPA on a scale on 0-10. There are mid semester and end semester exams. Some students get low marks in mid semesters but it doesn't affect the overall cgpa. The end semester are the main exams. The course curriculum was last updated in academic year 2021-22, it is mostly relevant.

Placement Experience:

The college placement record is superb. The placement was the main reason for me to be part of the college. The college management and placement committee work together to improve the placement quality and standards of the college. The college manages a record of 100% placements. The highest placement offers were around 55 LPA and the average placement record was around 18 LPA. I also received a placement offer of 21 LPA.
