Insightful Evaluation of Course Curriculum and faculty Members at IISc

Dislikes

  • Infrastructure, labs, students, professors, teaching methodology , and the worst aspect is that the course structure is very hectic until you become interested in your course.
  • All of my friends were having a good time with the arguably lighter course structure, as well as all of the DJ nights and the culture fest, while I was stuck with almost nothing.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course Curriculum: The course curriculum are comprehensive and up to date, covering all the essential topics related to the subject. It is also designed to provide students with practical skills and knowledge that are relevant to the industry. Faculty Members: Faculty members play a crucial role in shaping the learning experience of students. they are knowledgeable, experienced, and able to communicate complex concepts effectively. Additionally, they are approachable, supportive, and responsive to student's queries.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

For the first two years of their enrollment in the PhD program, candidates are eligible for a monthly stipend from MHRD of 31k. Following three years, they are eligible for monthly stipend of INR 35k and after five years, they are eligible for a monthly stipend of INR 12k for one year.

Campus Life :

We offer access to all important journals and publications, a library stocked with books, lab access with research capabilities available around the clock, and the top faculty. you'll meet a lot of individuals and engage in all kinds of wacky activities. Going out at night, getting a haircut on 32 levels, paying 80k for insipid food.

Admission :

I passed the CSIR-NET, GATE, and IISC entreance exams to enrol at this collage. Once you have passed one of the aforementioned examinations and are on the interview list, Admission: passed the entrance exam for IISc and was invited for an interview. There and few more. And so on. Also, during the last round of the interview, they mostly inquire about your master's thesis and the type of doctoral wark you plan to pursue.

Placement Experience:

According to what I've seen, ME members received offers ranging from 12 to 24 lakhs per annum. We always tried to seek experience in this University and that helped us to increase our CTC and it went high up to 22 LPA. I had seen a placement rate of very close around 80% which was amazing and companies were ITC, Nestle, Axa rtc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have the best faculty with extreme expertise but a few are irregular and careless about the students. The ones who take class do it really well. The class strength had quite an impact over the classes but still was good.

Fee Structure And Facilities:

One feels the fee structure is a bit high. But it's quite reasonable as compared to the other B-school. The only good thing is that Manasagagotri has good placement assistance Manasagagotri has good. My overall expenditure was around 1.5 lakhs for two years.

Entrance Preview:

I qualified CSIR-NET, GATE and IISC entrance exam to get through this college. There are two rounds of interview once you've cracked one of the above mentioned exams and you're through in the interview list.

Admission:

Cleared IISc's entrance test and got the interview call. There are two rounds of interview. In the first panel they ask for the basics related to atmospheric, geophysical and oceanic sciences. And in the final round of interview they mostly ask questions related to your master's thesis and the kind of work you're going to opt for your Ph.D.
