Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum is slightly hectic in the first year but really one gets to learn a lot and completely new things than what we have learned previously. IISc is one of the top colleges all over world in field of research. The curriculum aims not only at placement but knowledge is the main concern. Often industry professionals are invited for talk or lecture if there is confusion regarding there products or software among the students

Placement Experience :

The placement is approximately 100%. All leading companies like Intel, Qualcomm, Analog Devices, Texas Instruments, TSMC, Maxlinear, Nvidea

College Events :

Festivals from all Indian states are celebrated be it diwali, holi, lohouri or pongal, onam. Sports and cultural festivals are alos organised. And besides open day is arranged in which all students or labs have some demos talking about the recent researches and advancements they are looking into and what all they have achieved

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The tution fee is approximately 30000 only besides which we have hostel and mess fee which can sum upto 1lakh per year including the tution fees. Stipend of 12,400 per month is also given. Overall it's quite affordable. Online as well as offline payments are accepted.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No. I didn't opt for any loan. Monthly stipend of 12,400 is provided to all the students which is sufficient to pay the fees for the next year. The on campus expenses are not that significant.

Campus Life :

Labs are functional 24*7. there's no time limit. Students here go for various sports competition all across India. Besides, we have our own GymKhana which has ground for football and basketball, indoor carrom, chess, badminton,gym, aerobics, yoga all facilities are there. There are many student committees which organise various type of competition in different languages.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes, all sorts of room are available single seater as well as double seater. Except for first year students, everyone is given a single room. Adequate number of washourooms are there on each floor. Some rooms have attached washourooms. Besides washourooms are cleaned properly daily and room cleaning facilities are also provided. Water coolers are there in every hostel. Cycle stand is present and gatekeeper is present all the time

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

All alumni are well placed, many of them are doing well in the research field and are well known for their contribution.

Admission :

I appeared for GATE exam and secured AIR 235 in 2019. Then IISc has separate test for each course. Once you qualify that you will be interviewed by professors on the various technical concepts. Besides they will also see your approach. Once they find you good you are in.

Faculty :

Nearly all the professors have Ph.D from top colleges across the globe, and most of them have worked in the industry for approximately 4-5 years before joining as a professor. Most of the professors are 30-50 year old while there are many old and experienced professors. The depth in which they provide the knowledge provides clarity and confidence.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement conditions have improved in IISc after the inception of campus placement cell. Average package is around I would say 25 lpa. Since most of the students go for higher studies from IISc hence, you will see the placement percentage to be low. Personality I am also going for higher studies.

Manipal- The most beautiful experience one should look for.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Very effective, the course was revised a year back when i joined. So it was up to date. Yes it helps us to deal with real world, so many things i learnt are resonating with my job now. Specialy the labs, where sir taught about the documents the construction companies posses and how they are used. There were exams every 2 months.

REVIEW OF NITK MTech ECE Department

Placement Experience:

After 2nd sem student gets eligible for campus placement. In last sem Samsung ,Qualcomm , analog devices, Texas instruments, AMD,Marvel,ARM , Cdot so many companies visited for the placement, highest package was arround 35 lpa which is offered by analog devices, profile was analog engineer average package is near about 15-18 lpa . Till now 50-60 % student get placed . In 2022 the placement percentage was 80-90 % due to inflation the companies deceases recruitments . That's why now our college is allowing for 11 months internship that's why in our batch almost 60% student gets the internship offer which was less at the time of our seniors so may be this year placement percentage gets increased to 80-90 % .. my plan is simple just take the placement from the campus as 60% student already gets the internship so there will be less completion so there will be more chances to get the placement

Honest NITK MTech life.

Placement Experience:

From 2nd semester we are eligible to get internships so along with so many students can get ppo. No of companies visited all are there in nitk website but placement is good. In my course highest placement is 10lac and lowest 4.5 and average 5-6lac In my course around 85-90% students get placed. I wanted to job in pharmaceutical companies

east or west NITK is best

Placement Experience:

From 3rd semester the placement session starts. Average package is quite a good about 12lpa in the current scenario. About 80-90 percent students get placed every year from the college itself and also some students goes to higher studies. My plan is to get a placement after completion of my degree.
