Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because of my interest in economics as a subject. There are approximately 20-25 faculty members for 320 students in a batch (the ratio being 1:13). Every faculty is highly educated with their Ph.D. degrees and are knowledgeable. Passing in DSE is a little difficult. you will have to be consistent.
Internships Opportunities
DSE also offers internship opportunities to all first-year students. Projects given to the students vary from analytics, consulting, sales, stock markets, etc. It is a very nice experience to apply the concepts practically.
Placement Experience
After 2nd-semester students can sit for placements if they have no more than 3 backs in subjects. More than 50% of students get placed with an average package of 15.5 lacs pa. every major company visits the campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
DSE has very low fees compared to other colleges. The fees in 8000 for one year and 16000 for the entire master's course in economics. Exceptional students also get a variety of scholarships from the college.
Campus Life
DSE doesn't have any annual fest since everyone is academically inclined. There are research cells, placement cells,s and prayas as clubs that students can join. DSE has ratan tata library- one of the best in India for books and journals. Classes are world-class in terms of amenities.
Admission
There are 2 ways to secure admission at DSE. Entrance (DSE conducts tests every year) & Merit (Based on marks of your undergraduate degree). Applications can be found on the DU website when the admission starts with a nominal fee for the application.
