IIT BHU

Remarks :

The college administration is excellent, and they promptly react to all of our questions and endeavour to assist us in any way possible. The initial step in the admissions procedure was to pass the GATE exam. Following that, students were shortlisted and given a written test. Around 500 applicants were shortlisted for the test, with only about 40 making the cut. This institute has a high level of research in my field, which was a major reason in my decision to join. In addition, feedback from seniors on the teaching members and their enthusiasm influenced my decision to attend this college for my post-graduate studies.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is well-rounded, with a fair balance of academics and industrial experience. We also have industry partnerships so that we can grasp the needs of the industry rather than merely studying it without understanding how it applies to our daily lives. In addition, the college organises industrial trips and invites famous persons in their various disciplines to help us grow into professionals when we graduate.

Placement Experience :

The college's location is excellent. Around 400 organisations came to school for on-campus recruitment this year, ranging from companies listed to software and R&D. Internships are also supported by the college, which then in turn may give students with pre-placement offers.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure for the program was around 35,000 as a whole. The fees is pretty reasonable yet the college offers some financial aids to the students. The college offers a number of scholarships to deserving students as well as excellent students to help support their study. I did not take advantage of the scholarship, although the average monthly scholarship award is 10,000.

Campus Life :

The gender ratio at the college is approximately one girl for every two boys. We have a variety of groups, including robotics, photography, debate, music, and fine arts. Student participation is high, and the clubs hold events throughout the year to keep students engaged and motivated.

I am the student of biotechnology and I choose this course because I wanted to be a researcher. Cramming inadequate revision and increasing stress overcoming procrastination required self discipline and time management break your study session into smaller manageable terms and use techniques like the techniques to maintain focus and productivity.

Mostly i came to know that in post graduates their are less chance as most of the placements focus is on graduate level students. So most of the graduates get the job and packages starts from 3 lakh to 15 lakh and above as per showcased by students. Also students are engaged in startups to built their own venture and also support in early stage funding guidance and others.

During the third semester of the master of technology, students are eligible to sit in campus placements. In the Electrical Engineering Department most of the top semiconductor companies like Intel qualcomm, micron, Texas instruments, onsemi, cadence, amd visited this year. Number of offers made is 80 out of 140 candidates. The highest package is 49 LPA by Qualcomm. 60 per cent got placed this year due to poor market conditions. I am going to work in a semiconductor company after completing my degree.

Placements of IITK are very good. Even during recession the average package was 15lpa. Highest package was 60lpa and lowest was 12lpa. If someone is not getting placed then professors help in their own domain. After degree, I am planning to work in a product based company after degree.

Campus Placements are great, there is a market slowdown but most(70%) of them from mtech got placed this year and still the placements are going on. Other than that you will have internship opportunities from the college or as well as outside the campus as well. From the last two years, 6-month internship is provided to mtech as well.
