Remarks :
The very friendly and easy admission process to get into this college. The admission criteria for BCA are rather low with only having 50% in your class 12 boards as criteria. The college provides BCA admission to any student from a science background and even some from a commerce background with the requirement of commerce background students having to have maths or IP as a subject during their 12th.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculty is quite friendly and helpful too. Though some might not help as much as others, they don't complain about having to explain the same thing over and over if the students are not able to catch up in time. The subjects taught were industry ready and the time to complete the whole syllabus was rather timely most of the time. Frequent tests were conducted to keep the students engaged and the pressure on the students was the right amount. All the professors are well qualified in the field and can teach skills and techniques most sought in the industry.
Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for placements from the beginning of the 5th semester. Companies visiting are mostly mass recruiters with some exceptions. The highest package for the computer applications course during my stay was at around 6lpa
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees are very low compared to other private colleges. The only big amount is during the admission process which still costs less than other private colleges. The scholarship system is really good as well. If you can stay within the top 3 of your class in terms of your spa, you can get a max of 50% scholarship from the college.
Campus Life :
The college year is stacked with different fests and other meetups. There's also a huge air-conditioned library with desktops and a reading area that can easily accommodate over 300 students at a time. The college also provides different clubs that a student can join.
Other Applied Colleges
Royal Global University - [RGU], Guwahati | Bachelor of Computer Applications [BCA]
It was rather expensive compared to the amount of oppurtunities that it gave.
