Remarks :

You should have your graduate degree or in the appearing year to give CAT exam. Application form fee is 2300 and application dates vary each year, one should check the site regularly IIM.IIM Ranchi provides a total of 14 courses which include MBA, Ph.D., Executive Ph.D., Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Management, Emeritus Fellowship in management, EXECUTIVE MBA, CPGM, MDP, CPBABI, FDP, EPBABI, and IPM.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I had too much interest in the business feild and I want to do a startup after completing my MBA so I chose this course as it provides a good platform. Most of the teachers were qualified and knowledgeable. All were helpful. The teaching quality was above average. The course curriculum was relevant. It almost makes students industry-ready. No college can make us 100% industry-ready as companies' requirements are different. We have to appear 2 exams per semester that are mid sem and end sem and some quizzes also.

Class Size : 88Course Fees : INR 400000 per year

Placement Experience :

From the 3rd semester, company start visiting. Previous year 98% of students were placed. The highest is 27lpa. The lowest is 8lpa. Avg 12lpa salary offered. Flipkart, Deloitte, ey, IBM were top recruiters . 100% got an internship for which top companies were Flipkart, Deloitte, ey, ola, and Wipro. The top roles were hr consulting, recruiting, learning and development, and hr business partner. I plan to startup and be the boss of my own company.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

For my MBA course, I am paying 15 lakhs approx for the whole 2 years. Fees hike is there yearly around 6% on all courses. The various Departments and Ministries of the Government of India offers many scholarship schemes for the benefit of students. The details of all the national-level scholarships are provided in the National Scholarship Portal of the Government of India under the website.

Campus Life :

Agon is the management fest conducted by IIM Ranchi There is a big library and many books are available all based on business and startup purposes many books are there for several competitions also. The sports culture is also too good here many students participate in football, cricket, table tennis, 100m race, 200m race. We get all the facilities such as Wi-Fi, library, and labs for students of our college. Clubs like photography, meme, coding, drama, etc are there which all are run by college students.

A Journey down the memory lane

Admission:

Admission is on the basis of merit. Students securing their name in the merit list are invited for the interview round. The interview was a lengthy business but the management was pretty supportive throughout the entire admission and counselling process.

Its a roller coaster ride to study at XLRI. Its a lot hectic but fun.

Placement Experience:

All the students get placed so 100% placements. Major companies like HUL, P&G, BCG, Nestle, Mondelez, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Flipkart, GSK, etc visit the campus for placements. Average package offered was 19.21 lakhs for 2017 batch.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very good. It focuses on practical learning from case studies of Ivey Business Schools. The electives and specialization have to be chosen in the second year. We can specialize in 2 courses of our choice in the second year.

Wonderful experience

Remarks:

Fantastic college, facilities, atmosphere, faculty and peer network. Only disadvantage that the campus faces is that it is located in Jamshedpur, so it means a fair bit of travel to reach there from Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore or Hyderabad.
