Remarks :
I was able to meet the IIT Bhubaneswar GATE cut-off criteria. My preference was good placement and good curriculum standards. IIT Bhubaneswar was according to my preference as the placement is great and the college also promotes start-ups and the college has set up the start-up center on the college campus which attracted my attention which will help us to learn good things. To be part of the IIT Bhubaneswar I have to clear the GATE exam and should have a minimum of 60% marks followed by a written test and PI round. I have to fill out the admission form from the official website of the college and pay a fee of Rs. 300/- for the application form.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum of the college is according to the latest industrial norms and standards. The curriculum is properly synced with real-world scenarios. The curriculum is a blend of theory and practical knowledge. The curriculum helps us to understand the importance of technology and \its impact on the development of industry and society.
Internships Opportunities :
We have to attend the internship program as it is a mandatory process but if we are involved in any kind of project wor we can skip the internship by providing adequate papers to the placement committee. The placement committee guides for an internship and helps us to select the companies for internship according to our level of interest. The stipends usually range from Rs. 25000/- to Rs. 1,00,000/-.
Placement Experience :
The college has a 100% placement record. The placement is according to the IITs standards. The placement committee is very cooperative and helpful they fully guide us during each round of placement. The highest package for our batch was around 55 LPA and the average package was around 15.89. I was also able to secure an offer of 22 LPA. Companies like Jaguar Land Rover, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, GE India, Honeywell, Microsoft, Google, Adobe, L&T, Tata Steel, etc visited our campus during the placement drive.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I was not lucky enough to secure a scholarship so I have to pay my complete fee. The college provides scholarships on a merit basis and to SC/ST/PWD. To know more about the scholarship program and the eligibility criteria simply you can visit the college's official website.
Campus Life :
The seniors and the college staff are very cooperative and friendly. College life is simple and good. The college organizes the fests like Alma Fest is college cultural fest, Wisssinere is college Tech Fest, E-Summit is college entrepreneurship fest, Ashwadhmadha is college sports fest, and Food Fest. The college also has a cricket ground, football ground, hickey ground, badminton court, basketball court, volleyball court, etc is treat fro sports lover.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel rooms are big and spacious. The rooms are available as single occupancy. The rooms are equipped with 1 bed, study table, almirah, and LAN cable for internet connectivity. The mess food is good and the menu keeps on changing. Special food is served during the festivals. The hostel is equipped with all kinds of facilities. 24 hours of internet connectivity is also available. At this price point, the stay in the hostel is worth it.
Faculty :
The faculty is of Ph.D. level and with corporate exposure which is very helpful for us. The faculty guides us and motivates us to take part in the extra curriculum activities as they believe that over personality development is very important for us. The faculty is expert in their respective subjects.
