Remarks
Firstly I filled out an application form for GGSIPU worth rupees 1200/- I guess which can be edited later if you filled it wrong. Now after that, we have to wait for cutoffs of the colleges in GGSIPU. After the last round whichever college you are allowed you have to appear, they are offline and complete the registration process and deposit the fees. Yes, there is a reservation for Delhi students in my college. I guess 80-85% of seats are reserved for students who had completed their 12th from Delhi.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have a keen interest in coding but I was not getting CSE in this college, that's why I go for it, I've heard that placement-wise, both the courses are equivalent. That's why I opted for this course. The faculty is average but not so good that makes you love the subject. you have to study from some external source or some online courses, faculty are qualified and some even are researchers in NASA. Each semester we have two exams one in mid-semester and the other at the end of the semester, exams are set by the university so the difficulty level for me is pretty much good.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are offered in our college. Teachers keep us updated with all the coming internships opportunities. But as our seniors say you have to find internships from some external source like Internshala or some referrals, college didn't provide many specific internships. I don't know much about internships yet because I am right now focusing on developing some skills rather than earning money. I will update this whenever I get the internship.
Placement Experience
There is campus placement here in our college. A good amount of companies come and recruit our students. For my course, I guess the average placement is 5-6lpa . The highest package last year in our college even goes to 34lpa. From each course, I guess 60% of students get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are a total of 133500 for 1 year which includes lakh as tuition fees, for Delhi, there is a scholarship called merit-cum-means which is given by the state government. This scholarship gives us our full tuition fees back if you are selected for this. Right now I am in the 2nd year of my course so I don't know anything about internships here. I think for a course like BTech the fees are worth it.
Campus Life
Due to covid-19, I even am not able to experience the college campus or fests too much. The campus is spread at 8acres which is I guess short. The ground is also comparably small, there are a library and a good amount of books are available there, I think there is a lack of sports in our college.
