Remarks :

Great institute, one of the better managed govt organisation. You meet some of the great minds of the country.

Entrance Preview :

IIT JEE, it was 2 stage exam. Prelims n mains. Prelims was only objective types questions, I ranked some 850 pan India. Mains was all subjective, I ranked 1938. Prelims was just a qualifying exam and no. Scored didn't count in mains. Chose this course because of institute as I had option of cs in many other institutes like RECs, thapar, pec etc

Course Curriculum Overview :

Very flexible..almost 40% courses you can choose whatever you want you. 1st year is common for all branches. 2nd is almost your department courses. 3rd and 4th year have lot of choice from hr, environmental sciences, mathematics etc.

Internships Opportunities :

One has to arrange for its own internship but IIT brands comes in very handy. Stipened would be 25-30k pet month. I did my internship on China in a core textiles company. Applied online and was called for interview.

Placement Experience :

All were placed. Companies like infy, TCS, oracle, bcg, mckensy, schlums would offer anything between 2.6 lacs to 20 lacs. But I think profile of companies has totaaly changed now with all e-commerce and much more finance companies visiting the campus.

College Events :

Rendezvous was annual cultral fest. Big budget, bigger events, almost all colleges of Delhi would participate. Promote, hasya kavi sammelan, rock show were highlights. Euphoria band was usually part of same.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Very much affordable. College also provides scholarship to low income group students. Loans are also easily available from bank branch within the campus. Hostel fee and food is also quite economical.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Merit cum means scholarships for students from low income families. Loans are also available easily at competitive pricing.

Campus Life :

Full of fun, lots of activities, you will feel short of time to actively participate in all. Every month either there is a sports tournament or cultural stuff going on. Inter IIT meet is great sports platform.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels have LAN facility but no ac. Common rooms have TV carrom TT table. Gym facility also in hostel. Fees is very economical.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Not a very organised alumni network, you have to be proactive to be part of alumni network. Generally find alumnus at good positions in almost all financial/ consultancy/ educational institutions.

Exam Structure :

Very hectic schedule spe�ially on first 2 years. Usual college timings are 8-6. It also depends on the courses you choose afterwards.

Faculty :

Mix, some were real masters in their field. Some used to monitor ur attendance n good ones used to monitor your progress. You will find some professors really going out of their way to help you while others will just go by book. All in all faculty is strength of the institution, many Nobel nominated personalities.

IIT DELHI INSIDE STORY

Placement Experience:

All the big Mncs and heavily paying firms come to our college . Most of then are open for every students. But some only open for top branches. Placement are best in iits but some students go for UPSC and other for MBA or higher studies , so the percentage drops.

The college placement record is superb. The placement was the main reason for me to be part of the college. The college management and placement committee work together to improve the placement quality and standards of the college. The college manages a record of 100% placements. My aunt was the teacher in this college and my jee rank was good so in my jee rank i got the best college and its fees is less so there was no prblm. And there is strictness for studies. The students should have 75%attendence.

Placement of this college is too good as avg is 11 lakh per annum so the college as the mass recruiters like infosis and amazon and flipkart and byjus come in our college to give job to our honourable students the avg income of mechanical student from mait is 20 lakh per annum
