Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course curriculum is fine types... not very up to date but basics are covered well... some subjects feel old or not much use now.. but in CSE/IT u get to learn few new things like ML or cloud.. tho not in much detail... u hv to study extra from ur side also. Overall it's manageable.. not too hard or too good... decent if u stay regular n practice side by side...

Internships Opportunities

4

internship oppurtunities at msit depend mostly on u... clg do share some chances through mail or tnp cell but not very regualr... in cse/it students get intern from own search or coding platforms... some get thru seniors or linkedin also... companies like infosys, deloitte, tcs do come but mostly after 3rd yr... u hv to be active urself, college support is okay types but not full spoon feeding...

Placement Experience

4

placements at msit are pritty good.. spclly for cse and it.. many students get placed in good companies like infosys, wipro, tcs n even some big tech like amazon or microsoft if u r really good... avg pkg for Cse IT is around 8-9L for . other branches get less but still okay... if no placement, students go for off campus or prep for govt jobs or higher studies...

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 1,70,000 for first year Tution fees 1,32,000 University share 20,000 Registration fee: 2,000 Caution Money (refundable): 10,000 Eligible households are those with annual income less than 8 lakh, leading to full or partial tuition fee waiver . around ?32,000 refundable per year for EWS/OBC . 1 seat reserved with 100% fee waiver for orphan child.

Campus Life

3

campus life at msit is chilll... crowd is nice n frndly... many fests n events happen so u get to enjoy too.. clubs are there like tech, dance, drama, etc.. if u join u make good frnds n learn stuff... not much pressure always... infra is decent.. ac classrooms, good labs, wifi works mostly... canteen food is okay types... not 5 star but manageable... overall it’s a decent vibe if u stay active n explore things...

Admission

I choosed msit bcz it had good placements in cse/it n also infra is decent.. i applied to few other ipu clgs like bpit n mait... but msit felt better in vibe n crowd. didn’t get nsut or dtu bcz my rank was not that good.. missed cutoff by lil bit.. Admission process was thru ipu offline spot round councelling.. had to fill choices offline n wait in the university since morning till night.. was bit stressfull but managed somehow...

Faculty

4

Teachers at MSIT are mostly nice, some really help u out while a few are a bit strict. CSE and IT teachers are better. Syllabus is from IPU, a bit old but okay. We have mid sem, end sem and internals like attendance and assignments. Marks are given fairly if u write properly, nothing too hard. Make sure to maintain attendance of you want to get good practical marks.

Night Life

5

First of all I'm not a hosteller so I don't have much idea about that but yes the area is pretty safe ,, nightlife around msit is not that crazy but it's okay... clg is in janakpuri so u got cafes, street food, and malls nearby like pacific mall... ppl hangout after clg or on weekends... not too much late night scenes but safe area... if u hv frnds n plan things, u can enjoy... some go cp or rajouri for better vibe... so ya, not like pune or bangalore but still fun if u make it fun...

Placements are good especially during recession. You're eligible for placements after 3rd year. After 2nd Year you're eligible for Internships. All Big Companies like Google Microsoft Apple Goldmansachs Mckinsey etc. Highest package offered till now in 2025 is 85LPA (Atlassian) Average of CSE is 17 -18 lpa . almost 53% people get placed in 2025 (recession time). See The degree OF DTU has its value. So it gives you an edge while you go for off campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate here is around 70-75% on an avg in all branches and sometimes even higher. After 1st year only , multiple opportunities starts coming . After 1st year and before 2nd year , basically in summer vacation we have to do a compulsory internship (college also provides) and we are provided a credit for that . Then multiple opportunities like GOOGLE STEP ,amacon internship , etc come.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university doesn't beat around the bush while deciding the courses. They have picked only the subjects and the curriculum that are suitable for our field and focus on making us future-ready. Some subjects might seem a little fast-paced, but if you are consistent enough, you won't face any problems. It is safe to say that the exams and things taught in most the subjects are same to that of its so there is no lacking behind in that aspect.
