Entrance Preview :

I took IIIT-B internal examination for the admission. After I cleared the written test I was called for interview in Bangalore, Electronics City where I was suppose to present a topic of my own choice in front of a professor. I presented my topic and then professor asked me a few questions related to the topic. It was 45 mins interview. It went well and after a week I got a call that I was selected into the M.Tech program.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum is very thorough. The first semester was common for all. There were assignments, projects, mid-terms which kept us busy all through the semester. Professors are experts in their subjects and they will guide the students whenever it is needed. Even TAs and RAs were very helpful. In the 2nd and 3rd semester we get to choose the stream and our own subjects. It was full hands-on experience.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes, the college provides internship. The college has an incubation cell which provides internship. Also, companies are called for internship process. At my time various MNCs came like Cisco, GE, Intel, IBM, Nvidia, Intuit, Broadcomm, Qualcomm, Infosys etc. The average stipend was Rs.25k. Overall experience was a learning one and exhilarating.

Placement Experience :

100% placement is there. Although, during my course of study, this was not as such. But in the next subsequent years, placement process was improved. There are ample number of job opportunities for students because a number of well-established and startup companies are called for employment opportunities.

College Events :

So, we have an annual sports festival called Spandan. Its a three-day event. And its really a chilled out event. Its an air-breather for both faculty and students. The good thing was that even faculty participated in the sports events. Then we celebrate Ganesha festival with full excitement and rigor. Also, there is Garba night during Navratri season.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is expensive. During my 2 year course I had to spend Rs.3,50,000 including hostel fees, course fees, internet fees, food etc. Course Fees - Rs60 K per semester, Hostel Fees - Rs. 25 K per semester, Internet - Rs 5 k per semester, Food - nominal charges etc.

Campus Life :

Gender ratio during my course was 50:50 International conferences like IMSAA, IEEE related, MATLAB and various other technical meetings takes place during the whole course time of 2 years. Foreign delegates arrive at college for guest lectures, seminars and conferences.

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni network is very strong. The seniors were very helpful when we in our 1st year. We have an outreach within and outside the country. Alumni regularly posts openings available in their company and they follow-up to their full extent. Alumni and seniors are all very interactive and they respond immediately whenever we need their guide and support.

Exam Structure :

The exams and lab work was very hectic. But it was not stressful. It was more of fun because I was learning new things and every new information was like a gold mine. So, overall it was worth spending day and night for project work, exam preparation or lab results.

Faculty :

Faculty is very nice and supportive. They are really experts in their domain. Most of them are Ph.D holders otherwise they hold a Master's degree from very reputed institutes and universities abroad and within India. They are very keen to teach the subjects and they encourage students to ask them challenging questions.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement conditions have improved in IISc after the inception of campus placement cell. Average package is around I would say 25 lpa. Since most of the students go for higher studies from IISc hence, you will see the placement percentage to be low. Personality I am also going for higher studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Very effective, the course was revised a year back when i joined. So it was up to date. Yes it helps us to deal with real world, so many things i learnt are resonating with my job now. Specialy the labs, where sir taught about the documents the construction companies posses and how they are used. There were exams every 2 months.

Placement Experience:

After 2nd sem student gets eligible for campus placement. In last sem Samsung ,Qualcomm , analog devices, Texas instruments, AMD,Marvel,ARM , Cdot so many companies visited for the placement, highest package was arround 35 lpa which is offered by analog devices, profile was analog engineer average package is near about 15-18 lpa . Till now 50-60 % student get placed . In 2022 the placement percentage was 80-90 % due to inflation the companies deceases recruitments . That's why now our college is allowing for 11 months internship that's why in our batch almost 60% student gets the internship offer which was less at the time of our seniors so may be this year placement percentage gets increased to 80-90 % .. my plan is simple just take the placement from the campus as 60% student already gets the internship so there will be less completion so there will be more chances to get the placement

Placement Experience:

From 3rd semester the placement session starts. Average package is quite a good about 12lpa in the current scenario. About 80-90 percent students get placed every year from the college itself and also some students goes to higher studies. My plan is to get a placement after completion of my degree.

Remarks:

Our college offers a great variety of entertainment programs for the students. There are also workshops available so that the students can learn something other than their academic course. The college is a very good college and I will recommend this college to every other student.
