I gave college entrance examination. Then there was an interview which was followed by a presentation.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Real meaning of software education is imparted here. Fully industry oriented. Its all about practical. Theory is also there but it is in form of practicals. Project is generally associated with every theory subject to strengthen the knowledge of that subject.
Internships Opportunities :
I do not think but some students do come for their training in summer from colleges. NIT students come for trainings. Industrial trainings are given.
Placement Experience :
Very good. I think almost everybody was placed at the end. Offer varies from 4 lakh-14 lakhs. Many companies like Google, Flipkart, fibrelink, ibm, infosys, microsoft, aruba, cisco, american express and many more companies come for placements.
College Events :
Almost all the festivals are celebrated with full enthusiasm. College foundation day, Spic Macay are some very grand occasions which are celebrated here. Students do everything by their own.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Its feasible. They provide very good accomodation, very high speed internet, world class faculties. For us it was 60k per semester and 30 k for summer classes where finance, personality management are taught. Hostel is also good. Hostel is mandatory. Hostel mess is also good. Hostel is very neat and clean.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yes its there, The day you join the college, no of bank people come and guide for the loan process. Scholarship is provided to GATE qualified students and also from industries.
Campus Life :
Gender ratio is mostly 50-50. From every part of nation students come. Extracurricular activities keep on happening. Enormous opportunities are provided to develop an all round personality. events are organised completely by students only.
Alumni/Alumna :
Very strong alumni network as almost everybody gets placed to good companies and almost every year 1-2 students start their own company. So its very helpful for changing jobs and if one seeks for good opportunities.
Exam Structure :
Very industry oriented. All about your programming, problem solving and analytic skills. Surprise tests, Mid session exams, practicals, end sem. More focus on programming tests. Lab tests are given more focus. Very hectic schedule. For us it was approximately 2-3 projects per semester.
Admission :
I filled up the entrance examination form of the College. Exam was pretty easy. It was all about the analytic and problem solving skills. I was called for interview. They select 70% GATE students and I think 30% there college entrance exam based. Interview was more about judging your research interest.
Faculty :
Excellent and world class faculty who motivates you everyday for excelling to the next level. Faculty is well experienced and almost Phd or with very strong industrial experience. They assist you very well. They help you get world class education. They also assist for providing excellent opportunities in the area.
