Good University

Remarks :

As it is still an upcoming University, it has room for improvement for sure. The campus is still building up. During monsoon the route is a concern for which chancellor sir is working with. But provided the facilities in a commendable fee, it isn't a bad experience for sure. You'll not regret it. Environment of the campus is very good and very greenery.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum of this college is very good as it provide a research-oriented pattern for the students. It helps me to do research in my subject in the very best way. The practical sessions are also very interesting.

Internships Opportunities :

There are many many interesting intership opportunities available in the university I applied once and it was my amazing experience. It's really good. We can give our innovative ideas and work on that. Every year students with innovative idea get 2lakh budget per project. Of which students are given stipend of 5 thousand each.

Placement Experience :

Many of my seniors got job from job opportunities provided by the University. This college provides numerous placement and job opportunities to the students of this college. Almost 85% of the students get placed every year with a very good package. Many esteemed companies visit the campus to offer jobs.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The Academic fee structure of this college is quite expensive. I used to pay about 1.7 Lakh rupees for 2 year only for my course of M.Sc in mathematics. Although the facilities are quite good so this amount seems quite satisfactory.I didn't apply for any scholarships but there are many scholarships arries

Campus Life :

Every year numerous events are being organized by this college. These activities are very helpful for the growth and overall development of the environment of the campus is very greenery. There are many facilities in the campus like horse riding, women car driving, Gym, playground, cantin etc

Admission :

Not yet as I'm in 2nd semester. As soon as our semester ends I will be able to give entrances. There is no written test or even any interview to get into the college. Of your% of marks in 12 is more than 60. You'll get admitted. 5% relaxation to ST-SC candidates.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The courses are mostly complete and satisfactory. The prices are also reasonable for one of the top colleges in Shillong, if not the North East. However the curriculum is a bit extra in my opinion. The Sec, Mdc and Vac courses all have their uses but their use is made negligible as they just add to the workload of the students which makes them a burden to study apart from our major and minor subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is a professional course and its curriculum is pretty difficult. B.A.LL.B(Hons) is a 5 year course which spans to over 10 semesters. Some of th aspect that made me opt for this particular course is that one need not do a 4 year B.A. course and then 3 year LL.B course when one can do all that in 5 years. Additionally, after graduation from this course one can practice as an advocate directly after passing the BAR exams. B.A.LL.B(Hons) is a course which has both theory and practical. For most of the first two years pre-law papers will be taught to have a basic understanding of concepts and to build up a foundation for grasping the more complex papers to be taught in the higher semesters. This course also includes interning and this is implemented from the 1st year itself which is great exposure for students. The course however needs revision as it is pretty old. Exams can pretty difficult or easy depending on one's own capabilities and preparation as the paper can be tough.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very relevant to the current trends. Various practical experiences as part of the syllabus really hepls.. Internships are also a part and this also really helps. But still there are some outdated course so removing those and implementing much updated courses will be really helpful. Exams are fine.. The difficulty level depends on the course.
