Remarks :

First of all civil Engineering at IIT ROORKEE is the best branch, i wanted to pursue my career in civil engineering and also entrance score also matters. So based on my entrance score i could get civil engineering at IIT Roorkee and lower branches in other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview :

As i said earlier Civil at IIT ROORKEE is the best, They have well established laboratories and advance courses that focus on modern development in civil engineering. Professors are also very supportive and encourage the students for research.

Class Size : 135Course Fees : INR 800000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Almost 200 companies visit for on campus internships and offer variety of roles. They give amazing stipends and perks according to profile and skill set. Typical stipend range from 10k- to 200k.

Placement Experience :

Placements starts from first semester of 4th year. Placement process is quiet smooth. placement process is the two step process-1) October to December (companies with> 8 lac CTC are allowed)2) February to june (all companies are allowed)In the month of October companies start taking test or assignments till end of the November.Now from 30 November day 0 of interview and gd start and continue till all companies finish the interview process.Almost 350-400 companies visit in the IIT Roorkee campus. Highest CTC offered is 1.49 crore by Microsoft.Companies come for all the profiles but software companies visit more.Avg. Package is around 12 lac as per 2021 placements. Almost all the students get placed who go through the placement process.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee is depend on annual income of the parents-1) most economically backward(0-1 lac/annum)2) economically backward (1-5 lac/annum)3) not economically backward (>5lac/annum)For category 1 you will get all of your tuition fee waiver.For category 2 you will get 1/3rd of your tuition fee waiver.For category 3 no fee waiver. There are different types of scholarships are available based on your academic performance, category wise(sc/st) and extra curricular.Job or placement is depend on individuals skill sets. If you are skillful then you definately going to get very good job.

Campus Life :

Campus life is the best you ever get in india. As IIT Roorkee is situated in the lap of himalayas. You have many places to visit nearby roorkee. Thomso is the cultural fest of IIT Roorkee. Celebrated in the month of October. It attracts almost 30,000 footfall from all over the india.Tech fest Cognizance is celebrated in the month of march. Students from all over india participate in different technical activities.There are plenty of books and journals in the library and available free to all students.Sports facilities are the best. they have 13 different game facilities fully equipped with staff, equipments and coaches.There are many student governed group which includes social, cultural and technical.NSS and Unnat bharat abhiyan are most socially active groups in the campus.Channeli is the website and notice board, placement online are the apps for students run by students only.

Hostel Facilities :

You will get all the facilities in the hostel for ex light, cupboard, table, chair, fan, bed, lan cable, lan port(no limit on use with 100mbps speed). Breakfast is the best meal, you will definitely not wanna miss it and it's nutrient rich as well. Sometimes lunch and dinner are not good (depend on the individuals choice), so you can go to canteen. Canteens are also subsidized. They charge you only 27,000/sem for hostel and mess.

Average for academic, good for extra curriculum.

Placement Experience:

I didn't had any expectations from my college to provide any placements because of the lack of hiring and the current market situation. However, surprisingly, 3-4 companies came for campus placement like Accenture, Deloitte, TCS. This was a mass hiring placement and the everyone was offered same role, around 20% of all BCA students were employed. Package was around 2.5 - 3LPA. My current plan after degree is to start job as soon as I get my joining letter.

There was a Placement Cell that helps in the placement of final year students & in training for second or third-year students. I got placement in Bajaj Capital with 3.5 lac as an annual package. I got a Noida location but due to some family issues, I can't join the office after completing my course.

Remarks:

The location and placement of this college is best compare to other engineering colleges so thats the reason i go with it and i love it there education facilities are so good faculty are full in all branches seniors are good in this college 7 branches and each branch have a own branch fest so there are lot of attracting thing who attract me amd i come to this college thats it.

Placement Experience:

The company are visiting for placements are vista. Hcl. Vipro. Comphor. By juss. Infosys. Minda etc are there companies whos visited for our college every year and they every year got a best students for his company and make a one levels up every year there all boys have a technical mind every one gave a new idea to company that make him one level up company

Best college in uttarakhand

Remarks:

Extracurricular activities in our college are not too good because there is no badminton court. Only a ground to play football and cricket as well, and a ground for basketball and one for volleyball. Sports events are organised by the students itself and to participate there is the entry fee.
