Remarks :

AEC is the first engineering of Assam, and of the most reputable one. Tuition fees is very affordable, especially compared all the other engineering colleges of these days, and the placement scenario is pretty good as well.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Computer Science is one of the most demanding skills in the current scenario. And the fact that I can pursue that at an affordable rate was really nice. The low number of students in our branch meant that we could have better interactions with the faculty. Faculty could have been better to be honest, but they did help us to go through it. So props to them.

Internships Opportunities :

I've done quite a few internships which includes internships in IASST, AAI, IOCL, GeeksforGeeks, etc. Most of the internships are for experience and developing skills, the GFG internship did pay on a per article basis.

Placement Experience :

Students before eligible for placements from 3rd year, i.e. 5th Semester of the course. Eligibility criteria depends on the companies that visit us. Every year, a group of students are selected to handle all the training and placements stuffs, which is supervised by a head faculty. The highest package till now is 17.7 lpa, which is from a PSU. PSUs do visit us on top of all the private sector companies. Most of the eligible students (no backlogs and decent percentage holders) to get placed without any issues.

College Events :

As mentioned before, due to lack of a proper separate campus, it doesn't have that unique experience of what an engineering college should have. Nonetheless, you do have everything you would expect for which includes basketball and tennis court, gym, library, canteen, a number of fields to play volleyball, cricket and football. You can play indoor games like Table Tennis as well.

Campus Life :

Infrastructure is the only thing that out College needs to improve the most. The lack of proper boundary and a proper separate campus for the whole college is a necessity to create the required atmosphere where the students would put all their dedication. As it is the oldest engineering college of Assam, it needs a huge overhaul to be able to compete with all the modern engineering colleges, in terms of infrastructure.

Admission :

Combined Entrance Examination (CEE), 2016, 147

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose philosophy as my major course as I want to learn about the things we experienced and the way they are the curriculum prepares me well enough to overcome in my day-to-day life I haven't faced any need for improvement in the teaching method. Exams were indeed a difficult task as a student, we hardly had a week to prepare ourselves for the examination.

Course Curriculum Overview:

history is interlinked with all subjects. It describes the social formation, decision and mistakes that shapes the world. it gives moral values and mistakes that shouldn't be carried out again. The subject is very interesting and should be considered once.

Course Curriculum Overview:

About the course curriculum, I still wonder why they have to put science subjects on the course curriculum of arts students. They would say it's a basic course but it is definitely not. Those arts students came there to learn their main subjects. I think it is unnecessary to put sc subjects there plus it is not basic. Otherwise the main subjects' curriculum is pretty well organised and planned.
