Remarks :
Stands 12th among 154 engineering colleges in Kerala in the first semester KTU result Academic Excellence award in 2013 & 2014 instituted by University of Calicut accredited by NAAC.
Entrance Preview :
I took Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination. I joined on the basis of merit according to entrance rank. College as know for its discipline and quality of students who passed out each year. The college also have High records of placements with MNC's like Infosys, Tcs etc.
Course Curriculum Overview :
When i joined there the course curriculum was by Calicut University. Each semester contain a mix of easy to difficult subject. Each year had a core subject associated with lab on same subject which helped for better understanding. We have 4 industrial visits. Apart from the we have a social service visit to tribal areas. Apart from that we have language courses in each year like, Android development, Image processing etc. We have One min project and major project done during course in 6th and 8th semester respectively. Also we have to present seminar on any of the papers from international journals.
Internships Opportunities :
College provide internships for both graduation and post graduation students, Stipend depends on each company. Also vary from student to student.
Placement Experience :
The college also have High records of placements with MNC's like Infosys, Tcs etc. I my batch 230 students got placed in different companies . Out of which 40 with infosys, 32 with TCs, 35 with UST Global rest with other core companies. Our college also conduct job fairs so that multiple companies and students from multiple colleges can attend.
College Events :
We have inter college sports and cultural competitions. Students from our college also participate in university festivals. Other than that we have technical Fest called THARANG every year during Jan- Feb.. Additionally seminars by eminent persons are conducted during each semester.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
At the time of admission, Tuition Fee / Sem ₹ 37,500, Special Fee /Sem ₹ 3,300, One time fee ₹ 2,150, Caution Deposit ₹ 10,000, Interest of RFD ₹ 5,000, Total ₹ 57,950, Semester Fee (S2 to S8), Tuition Fee / Sem ₹ 37,500, Special Fee /Sem ₹ 3,300, Interest of RFD ₹ 5,000.
Campus Life :
Gender ratio is almost equal 2 seats for lateral entries are given, All religion considered equal here. Separate prayer halls are provided canteen and cafe facilities available. Students from whole our India study here. Most of the religious festivals are celebrated among students.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facilities are awesome. The hostel have three and two sharing rooms. Each ed have separate fan, lights and plug point. Both veg and non veg nutritious food are provided in the hostels. The wardens are awake 24 hrs to monitor the students. Separate prayer halls are provided for all religion. Hostels are provided with Gym facilities.
Alumni/Alumna :
Our seniors and super seniors are awesome they help us with our academics project even for finding jobs.
Exam Structure :
We had 3 internals and one semester exam for each semester. Apart from that we have class tests. Semester end marks are based on internal marks and theory marks. Internal marks are based on assignments class tests, internal examination, attendance, over behavior of the student in the class.
Admission :
Admission was by Government portal where i gave option for Jyothi engineering college. Luckily I got in this college , next day i went for admission there I paid half of my fees also paid caution deposit for the hostel facility. Rest of the fees and hostel fess was remitted on the joining day.
Faculty :
Most of faculties where Phd scholars. They provided us basic theory knowledge along with live practical section which helped for further understanding of the subject. The faculties also help us with the prjoects and seminars. Also encourage us to write papers in international journals.
