Course Curriculum Overview :

Since it is a core branch I chose Electrical and Electronics Engineering department. Course curriculum and syllabus are set by the university and they teach pretty good too. They try to complete the preferred Areas within the time limit.

Class Size : 63Course Fees : INR 75000 per year

Placement Experience :

From seventh semester onwards campus placements starts. It will be having multiple rounds such as aptitude, GD, interview and so on. Multiple companies will come but most of them are it companies and if you know programming you can apply for that company. This year it is 12 lpa is the High salary package by sount indian bank as well as TCS with 11 lpa and 2.5 lpa . After getting I am planning for higher studies.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Since I joined the college as tution fee waiver category my tution fees are fully scholarship based. But still I have to some additional fees such as sports fees arts fees tech fest fees etc. which comes around 5000/- per semester. Also a caution deposit of 10000/- has to paid at the time of admission which will be refunded. Multiple scholarships such as Merit cum means which is 25000/- per year, e grants which will cover tution fees and exam fees etc.

Campus Life :

We have an annual tech fest called Tarang for 2 days both day and night. Multiple clubs are present such as IEEE which is very active always, IEI. FABLAB is there where there is laser printing is present. And there is IIIC which is TATA incubation center specially. Dance club is present which is going for competitions and all. Women cell is present. Sports and Arts festivals are conducted annually. Central library as well as department libraries are present where we can lend books for upto 2 weeks and can be renewed. Every Classes are provided with projectors which makes easy for faculties to take classes and multiple power points for laptop charging etc.

Admission :

Since I am from Thrissur and don't want to go far away I chose this college. Also it si rum by the Thrissur diocese so as a Christian my family and me thought it will be best for me. I didn't get rejection from other colleges. The admission procedure is quite easy. If you have passed the keam entrance and then you can get admission if you apply through online.

Faculty :

Faculty to student ratio is good. Adequate amount of Faculties as well as lab staffs are present. HOD Jenson sir is friendly and encourage us for our development. Internal Exams as well as semester exams will be there. Sometimes the faculties will take module test or something on their own.

Yes,Students will get placement from 7th semester.Many companies like Infosys,Wipro,TCS etc come for placement.Most of the companies hire in bulk from the college.Lowest CTC was 300k annually and highest CTC was 1000k annually.Almost 60 percentage students are got placed from here.Apart from placement many students prepare for all india exams like GATE,SSC JE etc

Very Good University to study

Placement Experience:

The students from S6 are eligible for placement. Almost all the companies are IT-related companies. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Cognizant and UST visit the campus every year and hire a huge number of students. The average package is 4LPA with the highest being at almost 30LPA. Best college for pursuing engineering degree

Placement Experience:

Campus placements starts generally from the seventh semester in the fourth year. Nehru institutions have a lot of hold with multinational companies so a lot of companies like TCS, BPL, Amazon are offering placements to students who have no back papers. The highest package offered by companies is 9lakhs per year and the average salary is 4000/month. Mainly placements are offered to computer science engineering students comparatively.

Seeing St. Thomas through my eyes

Placement Experience:

The only student from the 4th year was eligible for campus placements. Every year nearly 88% of students got placed. Our batch was also not an exception. Most jobs were taken up by cse stream followed by our stream. Companies visited included Infosys, Cognizant Technology Solutions,ITC Infotech, Odessa Technologies, and others. The highest package of 5 lakhs was offered by Infosys.Cts offered 4 lakhs highest. The average package offered to all was 3 lakhs per annum.ITC offered 3.6 lakhs per annum. My plan after getting a degree was to join the job of CTS. Then I had dreams of an MBA in the future if possible since it would attract higher packages in the future. Many friends of mine got double offers. There were offers from. Sonodyne, Vodafone also. Since I got a job already,I didn't seat for Vodafone. Vodafone also offered a handsome package of 4 lakhs per annum.ZTE operations also took few students from our college

Remarks:

CET is one of the top colleges in the country. Faculties are the best. The college has the best placement records too. The location of the college is good too. Various fests are conducted to boost the cultural and technical skills of the students. I opted this course because I liked the course and our college contain the best faculties too. And the lab has good facilities where you can learn a lot.

Government College Of Engineering Kannur for a first year student

Remarks:

Has a good infrastructure with lots of trees and plants. Natural lighting is available so no need of artificial lighting Doesn't have an elevator. So it would be a problem for people in wheel chair. Less parking facilities
