Remarks :

There are moments when it took so much time to resolve some of the campus and hostel issues i advise them the management to reduce the time taken for issues to get resolved.

Entrance Preview :

I had to clear IITJEE exam to get into IIT i scored around 160 out of 360 this is my dream university to study.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I think the course structure is good i have an ample time to study or play we have 5 to 6 classes a day on an average and as to know Saturday and Sunday are non-instructional days this institution is famous for research facilities available here, to do research this is good place.

Internships Opportunities :

Our college provides internship to several foreign universities. Yes Bank, CRISIL, Siemens, Titan, Ford, IBM, Wipro, Dell, Tiger Analytics, Amazon and Apollo Hospitals are some of the companies which provide internships.

Placement Experience :

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras is one of the most reputed institutes for technological education and research in India. Known for its strong relations with the industry, the Institute has always been a favorite destination of recruitment for many firms. there are many placements and job opportunities here starting from 25 lakhs to more than 80 laks per annum.

College Events :

There are many events going on and goes on in IIT madras shastra and saarang are major technical fests which will be conducted on IIT madras. along with those there will be lit-soc and tech-soc events there are shroeter and inter as well as intra IIT game fests.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is around 3 to 4 lakhs per annum for tuition fees and hostel fees leaving that we may have more expenses for travelling and miscellaneous charges which may go around 5 to 6 thousand per month in hands of me the fee structure is increased 4 times when compared to last 2 years i may say that it is feasible for rich. but expensive for middle class.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

MCM scholarship is one of the scholarship which many of students apply whose parental income is below 5 lakhs per annum the government is providing interest free scheme for educational loans.

Campus Life :

Campus life is simply awesome. the boys ratio is very much dominant than girls ratio there are no religious or caste differences there are many competitions like lit-soc and tech-soc which are awesome events regarding robotics and literature there are many alumni speeches every week for knowing their experiences which may help us to realize to do miracles in the world.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel and mess food is not that much good as many of us have grown in some part of country and staying in other part so i think that the hotel food outside mess is good than mess food according to me but its okay for some of the people who have already stayed in hostel before.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Seniors here are friendly, they are involved in variety of different events and one of it is international and alumni relations which deals with alumni separately headed by students.

Exam Structure :

The exam structure is quiet good . there is an ample time to study what we have learnt without affecting sports and other activities but we have to take care of our academics along with other co-circular activities so that we feel no discomfort during examinations.

Admission :

When i was in inter 2nd year, i applied for JEE mains after qualifying that exam i got chance to fill IIT JEE form when i came here after i got selected in JEE advanced, i brought all my certificates of intermediate for verification and paid tuition and hostel fees online.

Faculty :

The faculty here are friendly. we can seek help from them at any time the faculty standards are good as expected as it is one of the famous institution in India apart from the classes they try to give moral support and to reach them in case of any difficulty regarding solving or problems.

Students starting placed from their last semester. Reputed companies gave an offer. Like tcs, Accenture, Infosys, etc. The highest package will be 60k and minimum 25k. 98% got placed before completing the degree. 55% above is the minimum for placement if you want to be placed in a high package of salary Job.

SASTRA College Life- An Amazing Experience

Admission:

I got the Admission in this college based on 12th marks and Jee main. i got Jee main score of 130 and 12th marks of 95%. so based on this they will ready a common Merit list and publish the All India ranks. based on your AIR , you will be called for counseling. You have to go to the SASTRA campus, on your allotted counselling date and time and Book the Branch of your choice. This is the Admission process

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course Curriculum is really good it's on par with Bits and Nit syllabus. It's well designed to both suit the students needs and also equip them well with the basic fundamental concepts which can further strengthen their core concepts knowledge . moreover , the syllabus is designed in such a way that it covers 85% of gate exam syllabus. so we can also appear for gate exam immediately after completing our course. The Exam structure is based on conceptual learning. one has to be well equipped with concepts in order to pass in the exams. We must not mug up at any point of time as SASTRA exams will test your concepts rather than ur memory capacity. It will have 3 Cia exams out of which the best 2 exam scores will be considered for internal assessment and then followed by final semester examination which consists of 100 marks out of which 50 will be considered for overall grading. This is the exam structure
