Remarks :
Once a CITian always a CITian. CIT provides freedom to the students and help us explore our talents. Of course the time in CIT is the golden period of our life.
Course Curriculum Overview :
CIT is an autonomous institution. They often revise and update courses. So it helps us keep updated. Exam structure is like 25 marks internal + 75 marks external. If you get 90+ marks you get an 'O', 80+ means A+ and so on. You can opt the elective subjects and staffs as per your will during 3rd semester and onward. During 3rd year you can opt fastrack courses, i.e you can opt the subjects of the final semester in the 5th semester and onward. if you completed the subjects of the final semester within 7th semester, then you can go for internship during the final semester that will be helping hand in your career growth.
Placement Experience :
CIT placement cells and Professors often updates the students with the opportunities like internships, competitions etc. Many companies( Core, non-Core, Dream) visit our campus and recruits students as interns and full time employee. Also we have Entrepreneur Development Cell which gives students the idea of Entrepreneurship and conducts various events regarding that.
College Events :
Every department conducts their own Technical events like workshops, Symposium in which students from other colleges visit our campus and participate in the events. There are 25 clubs in CIT. These clubs conduct their respective events. NAKSHATRA is a grand festival conducted for first year students by final year and third year students for about 7 days.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
It is feasible because It is a government aided college. We have student portal through which we pay our fees. There is Indian Bank next to our college. They open an account for the students which is used to pay our fees. there is no need to pay additional fees to secure an admission in this college. Yes, it provides transparency in the free breakdown.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
At the admission day itself they give the details about scholarship and education loan available in the Indian Bank. And each year they provide Alumni scholarship of about Rs.20000.
Campus Life :
We have Student Union inauguration and valediction ceremony. Lab facilities in the campus are updated. Students from other colleges get permission and explore our labs. CIT have won many trophies in the sports meet. we also conduct alumni sports meet.
Hostel Facilities :
No I have not opted for hostel. But I have hosteler friends. We have 3 hostels for girls. Separate hostels for first and final years. In first year hostel each room contains 4 chambers. In rest of the hostel two students per room. The hostel rooms are spacious, clean and have basketball and badminton grounds. Mess fees costs about 1500 per month. Hostel fees costs about 28000 for a year. Mess food is pretty good.
Alumni/Alumna :
Every year they conduct alumni meet. During alumni meet they provide alumni scholarship which is greatly helpful to many students. CIT is a prestigious institution established in 1960s. Its great to meet our super seniors from 60s batch to our current passed out. They take special care of us and guided in our growth. We often invite our alimni in our events and celebrations.
Admission :
I got into CIT with my cut-off marks. one should need 190 cut off (at least) to get into CIT. My cut off was 98.5. I got an aided seat. If your cut off is bit low then you may find a seat in self aid category. The only difference is the fees structure. After I secured a seat in CIT, they sent a call letter. The admission process was friendly and was helped by students of CIT. They guide you throughout the admission process. You can explore the campus as you wish and the students will help you. At the end of the process you receive the ID card. Thats it.
Faculty :
There are Professors, Assistant Professors, who are the assets of CIT. Professors have experiences of about 15 years(minimum). Each have their own specializations. With the help of them we won many competitions all over India. They are supportive and friendly.
