Shaik's Review On Assam Engineering Institute - [AEI], Guwahati

Course Curriculum Overview :

My course was for a period of 3 years holding a diploma degree. Annual intake capacity of seat has varied from 30 to 90 students. The course deals with the construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment which include works like bridges, roads, canals, buildings, and dams.

Placement Experience :

The college has a Training and Placement Cell under the supervision of one senior faculty member. The cell is equipped with all modern facilities. The training conducts grooming sessions for the students in areas like interview facing skills, soft skills, behavioral skills in well-known recruitment companies.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The course fee varies in every college. My college's course fee was approx INR 5.93 K which included examination fees, tuition fees and other fees. The course fee is very quite feasible and not at all expensive.

Campus Life :

The college offers many extracurricular activities, sports and facilities such as Laboratories, Library which has books related to our department which includes reference books supplied by publishers, Computer Center which has 30 computers with inbuilt software related to Civil Engineering which is accessible to the students as well as the teachers.

Admission :

I got admission in this college by passing my H.S.L.C. or its equivalent examination with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects and score at least 40% marks for general candidates, 35% marks for SC candidates and 33% marks for ST Candidates.

Faculty :

The faculty of the college is well educated and provides sample papers to help the students before the exams. Mrs. Manisha Sharma was the head of the department. She has a special talent in organizing and planning the lectures. The faculty is very helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose philosophy as my major course as I want to learn about the things we experienced and the way they are the curriculum prepares me well enough to overcome in my day-to-day life I haven't faced any need for improvement in the teaching method. Exams were indeed a difficult task as a student, we hardly had a week to prepare ourselves for the examination.

history is interlinked with all subjects. It describes the social formation, decision and mistakes that shapes the world. it gives moral values and mistakes that shouldn't be carried out again. The subject is very interesting and should be considered once.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am truly satisfied with my selection of course and effect we have a smart biotech lab with all modern amenities which will help the students to practice lab work and carry out research works as well. Other than that exam timing is being decided by the university authority and it is perfectly dated for the student's ease

Course Curriculum Overview:

About the course curriculum, I still wonder why they have to put science subjects on the course curriculum of arts students. They would say it's a basic course but it is definitely not. Those arts students came there to learn their main subjects. I think it is unnecessary to put sc subjects there plus it is not basic. Otherwise the main subjects' curriculum is pretty well organised and planned.
