SRM University Sikkim Admissions
- Admissions to all UG courses are merit based. The basic eligibility criteria for admissions to these courses is 10+2.
- Admissions to all PG courses except MBA are also merit based. The basic eligibility criteria is bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline. The final selection of the candidates based on the merit of the qualifying examination.
- For admissions to MBA courses, the candidates are required to appear for the entrance exams such as CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ XAT/ ATMA/ SRMJEEM, and selection is based on the score obtained by the candidates in the entrance examination.
- SRM university also provides Diploma courses, Advanced diploma courses, Certificate courses and Vocational Degree courses. For Diploma courses, the candidate must have passed 10+2 examinations. For an Advanced Diploma & Vocational Degree, the candidate must have a bachelor's degree.
- For admissions to Ph.D courses, candidates need to appear for a written entrance test, followed by an oral interview. Applicants who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/SLET/GATE/or have passed M.Phil. Programs are exempted from entrance tests.

The university offers the following scholarships to its students based on their merit.
Founder’s Scholarship
School Topper with 100% tuition fee waiver and School Second Topper with 50% tuition fee waiver are eligible for this scholarship.
Sikkim Native Scholarship
Students nominated by HRDD, the Government of Sikkim are eligible for 25% of waiver in tuition fees. Students bearing COI and admitting directly to the University are eligible for 10% of waiver in the tuition fees.
Employee Ward Scholarship
The ward of the employee taking admission in the University is eligible for 50% of waiver in tuition fees.

There are several facilities provided by the University to its students. Some of them are:
- CAMPUS EXCHANGE PROGRAM SRM: University Sikkim collaborates with the SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur, Chennai, in a campus exchange program in which final year students are taken to the parent campus for a month to experience an across-the-board exposure to academics, industries, skills, career and culture.
- INDUSTRIAL VISITS & GUEST LECTURES: Students are given exposure to intricacies and details of their subjects through various Industrial Visits. Also, to learn from the experience of experts, various guest lectures are conducted to add to their learning.
- WELL EQUIPPED LABORATORIES: The University has well-equipped laboratories for Basic Sciences and Life Science. The laboratories fully support experiments related to organic, inorganic, and biological assays and tests.
- ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CELL: The Entrepreneurship Development Cell of SRM University Sikkim is a one of its kind in the state. The key aim of the EDC is to mentor student entrepreneurs by helping them to inculcate entrepreneurial and management skills, make available entrepreneurial resources, serve as a networking base and provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, insights, resources, information and expertise.
- EXTRA AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: The University conducts an annual Intra-University Sports meet called ATHLON. The various Schools of Study are divided into different groups and enter a healthy competition. A variety of field, track, and team events are conducted for the students to take part. Also, students are encouraged to participate in inter-college competitions. The students learn to value healthy competition and the spirit of participation.
- HOSTEL: The University offers a separate hostel facility for boys and girls with the provision of well-furnished rooms with Wi-Fi facility, entertainment, and recreation. The hostel fee can be paid either yearly or semester wise.The rooms are allocated according to the vacancy created and on a first come first serve basis.
- TRANSPORT: The University transport facility caters to students who want to commute from home. Out of the two buses one bus runs from Rangpo and the other from the Burtuk area. Along the route, there are various pick-up points for the students, and the fee is charged accordingly. Students interested in availing of the transport facility should fill up the registration form separately.

- The most liked part of college is that it's not a mentally tortured environment, the teachers are very helpful and supportive, the classes are run calmly and patiently amd SRM provides the best enviornment mentally and physically
- And the next thing and very important thing is that SRM is a ragging free campus

- Also there is no auditorium as such to have good programs

First i decided to go for christ University but later since I had difficulties leaving my hometown i decided to pursue in SRM because this university had undergone counseling sessions in my school days and I loved the sessions through which i decided to study here and it was infact my best decisions

I didn't try for any other colleges as I did my graduation from SRM Sikkim itself the admissions procedure is easy all you gotta do is bring your documents and submit it in the admission cell book a seat and pay the fees that's all required to get admission no test is done for the admission purposes

The admission process was not that lengthy it was easy and convenient. For me I got the college i wanted to go to. I choose SRM University Sikkim as it was near my house and had the course I wanted to join.

Choice for this college above college is due to the placements. I applied in VIT VELLORE and Lovely Professional University. I appeared for the entrance exam and passed it. But compare to other colleges the SRM fee structure is less.

I applied in Royal global university Assam, but opted not to go there because of weather conditions. I took admission because of weather and my friends around here in Gangtok Sikkim. No i didn't got rejection from other colleges because i applied for Royal Global university that's it. There is eligibility criteria, students need to clear ug in any field can apply for Srm Sikkim

To join this college you just have to be 12th pass, there no need to have a high percentage you get into it, and if you have COI you will even get a discount on your tution fee. The admission are is right. I dont have much to criticize in this

I got direct admission here no test held before admission and no criteria of any type.The application form is available in the SRM university main block.you have to pay some amount of money as a application form then at the time of classes you have submit to semester fees etc.

Any student from India & foreign can apply in SRM University without any entrance exam. Any Student who have passed class 12 from any recognised boards are eligible for applying in SRM University. The best part of SRM is that SRM don't judge students and give chances to students with compartment in 12 boards & may have cleared the exam later. The another facility that SRM provide is scholarship to the students who have topped school. 1st topper gets 100% schorship, 2nd gets 50%, & 3rd gets 25%. Though the fees of undergraduate is kinda affordable it ranges between 30,000 - 70,000 per annum. The cost of application form is Rs-600 along with prospectus. Application form is available in Main block of SRM University i.e on 5th mile Tadong, opposite to IGNOU/ near Manipal (SMIMS) hospital. You can register yourself in the institute from admission cell (Main block). Hostel is provided for both boys & girls. Total 3 blocks are there.Total 3 buses are available. Free wifi access.
