Yes, well designed, practically oriented and examination pattern was semester system. It taught me all about veterinary profession and developed me as a competent, confident graduate. Extra curricular activity were integral part of education system for over all development of personality of graduates.

All got the option. many of the private firm approached the training and placement cell for recruitment but I opted for higher education.

Fee Structure And Facilities

feasible as per government norms, it include education, mess, hostel, electricity fee like that and it can be paid through online system. it is very nominal as room charges were 100 rupees per month and electricity charges were 80 rupees per month. Mess was excellent facility.

i did not availed any scholarship but sports scholarship and merit scholoarship I got during my graduation programme.

Campus Life

Good comfortable stay. Pleasant environment. Safe and secured campus. All facilities are available with in campus. Girls ration is almost 50%. Good mess, hostel, stadium, Jim and library facility. Good study environment. Library full of subject books. Good canteen facility.

Hostel Facilities

yes, both single seated and double seated rooms are available. Depending upon availability these are allotted. Separate hostels for separate colleges and batchwise room allotment is done. All the students get university accomodation.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes. College has its own alummni setup with annual alumni meet and get together. They all are very supportive.

Admission

I was willing to join veterinary profession and it was one of two veterinary colleges of then Uttar Pradesh. University has its reputation so I appeared in entrance and after qualifying admitted in 1993. GB Pant university is the pioneer institute in country and known for the green revolution in India. It was established in 1960 on Lenin grant pattern of USA and at present it is in Uttarakhand since 2001.

Faculty

In marking 9 out of ten. That time all the departments were having experienced and well qualified faculty keen to teach us ato z of veterinary sciences. It was their approach to make us physically, mentally and knowledge wise best graduate of the profession. I am proud of them.

It offers multiple opportunities and a great profession to persue. If one has inclination towards animals and doest compare it with mbbs or other degrees. It is a different profession requiring different mindsets. One can be a veterinary officer of grade one or grade two according to state government.

Placement Experience:

There are plenty ot government and private jobs in veterinary sector if a person is having good knowledge of the subject he can have upto 8 to 10 LPA of income package after completing of ug and after few years of experience the income may raise to 15 to 17 LPA . There is no dedicated placement cell in the college for veterinarians but different state govt , army , paramilitary forces, different central and state govt conduct inductions for permanent employment of veterinarians . Employment is almost guaranteed after completion of this degree .
