Remarks :

The factors which drove me are - a) Near to home b) good placement c) Reasearch d)Health facilities d) low tution fee as compared to other IITs for MTECH . The thing which i like most in the campus is the library facilities for reading till 11pm late night even on sunday.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The syllabus was updated and enough new learning techniques are added who want to. No industrial Exposure till now. The Faculties are calm , good and knowledgeable. Prof. S.K Palae who taught us Safety and Risk management in mines is one of the best prof. i ever met .

Class Size : 31Course Fees : INR 64000 per year

Placement Experience :

Placement Scenario is good. The top recruiters are samsung , bosch , oyo rooms ,etc. Total number of profile offered was 779 out of which 771 got placed. The placement process is good . The process consists of written , followed by GD and PI. The placement cell is very active and gives us the information of the oppurtunities in time.

College Events :

campus life is good .The technical festival are code fest , Technex etc. Socio- Cultural fest named Kashiyatra is awesome.It is the main fest for which every student waits for. I participated in Kavita contest. In Kashiyatra this year many singers came as well as standup comedy of zakir khan was most pleasurable. Salim Suleman singing made the ears feel silent. The annual Technofest is Technex which provides the oppurtunity to the innovators to show up there skills and what they can make . In Technex 20 the world speaking human robot sofia was invited to make students know the technology and their use in the work.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

By passing Gate exam you become eligible for the teaching assistantship of 12,400 per month. This scholarship helps you to support financially and make you independent from parents source of income. This Scholarship is given by the Central Government .

Campus Life :

Infrastructure for Sports facilities is good but the size of GYM is not so well and the equipments not maintained, Availability of Wi-fi is 24*7 and the speed is very good except in evening, Size of the library is adequate and ample books and reading space is available for the readers . Equipment in labs are upto the mark and well maintained .

Hostel Facilities :

yes i have opted for hostel . The Hostel for first years student is Aryabhatta. This hostel is well renovated and cleaned every day . This hostel is sharing and in one room two persons are allowed but in case no space is there the number of students in each room is increased to three , which make the situation harsh in summer . The hostel facility is easily availed by submitting the form which is provided in the hostel itself.

Campus placement like 2 months summer intern, 6 months intern + full time can be offered by companies, Most student get full time opportunity through 2 month summer intern Students having offer for intern are eligible for full time also since cahncea of ppo is not consider as their offer Sometimes offer revoked student get additional support for next one year through college for placement, student getting offer for package can again apply for 2x offer if new company visit for twice the offer Generally package are within 15-20 lpa for ece, cse and electrical student and psu also visit for offer direct through interview so many opportunity are given to student than expected

Masters in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 2023-2035

Placement Experience:

During the third semester of the master of technology, students are eligible to sit in campus placements. In the Electrical Engineering Department most of the top semiconductor companies like Intel qualcomm, micron, Texas instruments, onsemi, cadence, amd visited this year. Number of offers made is 80 out of 140 candidates. The highest package is 49 LPA by Qualcomm. 60 per cent got placed this year due to poor market conditions. I am going to work in a semiconductor company after completing my degree.

THE BEAUTIFUL CAMPUS OF IIT KANPUR

Placement Experience:

Placements of IITK are very good. Even during recession the average package was 15lpa. Highest package was 60lpa and lowest was 12lpa. If someone is not getting placed then professors help in their own domain. After degree, I am planning to work in a product based company after degree.

Campus Placements are great, there is a market slowdown but most(70%) of them from mtech got placed this year and still the placements are going on. Other than that you will have internship opportunities from the college or as well as outside the campus as well. From the last two years, 6-month internship is provided to mtech as well.
