Remarks :

Every place has its pros and cons. It is undoubtedly one of the best colleges but the faculty can't help you if you can't help yourself. The moot courts which highlight any law college is equally popular here but you need to show your interest to seniors and teachers.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is a very good one. It's not like one of the courses where students are afraid to study because of the syllabus. Everything is reasonable. The exam structure followed here is semester type. 2 semesters a year. Each semester concedes of 2 sessional exams, 1 Viva, 1 presentation.

Placement Experience :

Students passing out from our college have occupied the bulk of the legal sector in Assam. The college is supportive with internships. And as for stipends, it varies from null to around 10-15 thousand per month depending on the type of work.

College Events :

There will be freshers day every year for the freshers .annual sports meet will be there .annual day functions will be there . Saraswati Pooja, culturals dayand convocation ceremony will be there they have lot of events every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure I found it to be reasonable. In some other premium law colleges in India it amounts close to 15-20 Lakhs for 5 years. Whereas in here the college fees will barely be 35 thousand per year.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are plenty of scholarship schemes available in the college varying from 20-40 thousands in a year. There are separate scholarship schemes for BPL students, students coming from northeast India, and students who are excellent in academic.

Campus Life :

This college focuses on the extra curricular activities as much as it focuses on the studies. The law week and varsity week mentioned above are all about extra curricular activities. From sports like football, Cricket, table tennis, kabaddi to games like chess, badminton etc and competition like singing, recitation, drama, dance, quiz, moot courts etc this college has everything.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes I live in the hostel here. The hostel fees is very very cheap with less than 1.5 thousand per month. The facilities you get here are a table, chair, a rack, a bed. This hostel even has a strong anti ragging policy making the junior to feel safe. Also I must say the seniors here look after us like their brothers and the hostel Warden does regular visits to the hostel.

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumni network and seniors here are one of the best I must say. The hostel seniors who are pass outs of our college sometimes when visit our college or hostel, they always offer their unconditional help to us regarding anything.

Admission :

So I had to apply for the entrance online through the website. Had to submit my details with my 10th and 12 marksheets. Then after that the dates were released for the entrance and admits were given out online. After the entrance shortly my name was declared in merit list at 6th and I then fulfilled the remaining formalities by paying the admission fees and some paperwork.

Faculty :

The faculty honestly here is so supportive. They'll support you no matter what. Even if they have taken an official leave from college for few days, they are always available for the students over phone, any time of the day

Course Curriculum Overview:

I opted for the LLB course because its more of a personal preference for me. I've always felt like being a lawyer i could do something for the society. The curriculum prepares us for real world applications as we have internship programmes and moot court experiences. According to me having the moot court compulsory from the first year itself would have been more helpful. The frequency of exams is perfect as their isnt any excessive pressure on students nor does it allows the students to laze around.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is structured in such a manner over the 5 years that we get to learn aspects from both the areas, i.e., Bcom as well as Law. The bare acts are taught in such a manner that we are able to grasp it effortlessly.

Placement Experience:

You will be given an internship from the 3rd semester here till the 10th semester. But campus placement is not available here. You have to work hard to get a job of your own. Nothing is like someone will come and pick you. Elders will prefer you will pick.

Admission:

Admissions to B.A. L.L.B. program is done on basis of Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019 conducted by Dibrugarh University. Admission to the college is in online mode. Candidates can download/ acquire the admission form, fill-up and submit the same along with the requisite fees and required documents. I got qualified in the entrance exam and got an admission offer letter in my mail and went ahead for seeking admission into the college following the instructions.

Placement Experience:

No this college does not provide any internship. It is completely depends upon the students how the get or approach for internship. The college doesnt also provide any campus placements. It depends on the talent and skills and over all CGPA of the students which will help them get good jobs.

Remarks:

I was a part of this college for 5 years and I know this college well. This college should have an auditorium for conducting seminars and there should be College week so that the students can take part in various competitions. Moreover the library has insufficient books and most of them are outdated as new editions of those books are available in market. There are very limited books. Library doesn't have Manupatra, SSC online etc.and the computers are outdated. The administration is average they fail to respond well at times. The best thing about this college is that it secures 1st position in University results.

Remarks:

Library is very limited and it opens at 9AM and remain opened till 5APM but very less no. of books, and no Online Library Access like Manupatra, Oxford digital Library, Jstor. etc..College Administration everywhere including prospectus mentioned that Campus is fully Wifi enabled but the wifi network is password protected, students are not allowed to access internet, but each student is charged Rs.2,500/- per year for Internet.Good Thing is that if a student does not attended even a single class in a academic calendar then he/she will be fined with Rs.1000/- and he/she become eligible to write University Examination, can't figure out what they will do after law degree.Very less Parking area.
