  • Less interactive in terms of exams and problem solving
  • Less productivity leads to less knowledge

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is structured in such a manner over the 5 years that we get to learn aspects from both the areas, i.e., Bcom as well as Law. The bare acts are taught in such a manner that we are able to grasp it effortlessly.

Internships Opportunities :

The college provides less no of internship oppurtunities. This is the greyarea of this college. However many law teachers are helpful in this matter. And the students have come up with an application addressed to the college to provide more internship oppurtunities to their students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

A 5-year Bcom LLB course costs 60000 per year which makes it to 300000 approx. for the course in total. The fees keep on increasing every year to a certain percentage. It's an integrated course comprising of BCom and LLB. There are government scholarships.

Campus Life :

There were study groups where we interacted within the academic sphere. Law school Events were hosted by the college in the campus itself. Study groups became significant part of our life in the law school. Student organisations and clubs suxh as moot court teams, legal aid societies, or law reviews was a great way to meet people

Admission :

The admission prosess was a simple one since the marks obtained by me was quite above the cut off marks of the college. They were very helpful. The formalities were done within no time and the payment system was without a hitch.

Faculty :

The faculty members possess an impecable knowledge and professionalism. They are well equiped with the substance of law. They have a great experience in teaching and explaining the areas of law. They provide a helping hand when it comes to solving any issues of the students. They are good mentors and treat their students as a bright future professionals.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I opted for the LLB course because its more of a personal preference for me. I've always felt like being a lawyer i could do something for the society. The curriculum prepares us for real world applications as we have internship programmes and moot court experiences. According to me having the moot court compulsory from the first year itself would have been more helpful. The frequency of exams is perfect as their isnt any excessive pressure on students nor does it allows the students to laze around.

Placement Experience:

You will be given an internship from the 3rd semester here till the 10th semester. But campus placement is not available here. You have to work hard to get a job of your own. Nothing is like someone will come and pick you. Elders will prefer you will pick.

Remarks:

Every place has its pros and cons. It is undoubtedly one of the best colleges but the faculty can't help you if you can't help yourself. The moot courts which highlight any law college is equally popular here but you need to show your interest to seniors and teachers.

Admission:

Admissions to B.A. L.L.B. program is done on basis of Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019 conducted by Dibrugarh University. Admission to the college is in online mode. Candidates can download/ acquire the admission form, fill-up and submit the same along with the requisite fees and required documents. I got qualified in the entrance exam and got an admission offer letter in my mail and went ahead for seeking admission into the college following the instructions.

Placement Experience:

No this college does not provide any internship. It is completely depends upon the students how the get or approach for internship. The college doesnt also provide any campus placements. It depends on the talent and skills and over all CGPA of the students which will help them get good jobs.

Remarks:

I was a part of this college for 5 years and I know this college well. This college should have an auditorium for conducting seminars and there should be College week so that the students can take part in various competitions. Moreover the library has insufficient books and most of them are outdated as new editions of those books are available in market. There are very limited books. Library doesn't have Manupatra, SSC online etc.and the computers are outdated. The administration is average they fail to respond well at times. The best thing about this college is that it secures 1st position in University results.

Remarks:

Library is very limited and it opens at 9AM and remain opened till 5APM but very less no. of books, and no Online Library Access like Manupatra, Oxford digital Library, Jstor. etc..College Administration everywhere including prospectus mentioned that Campus is fully Wifi enabled but the wifi network is password protected, students are not allowed to access internet, but each student is charged Rs.2,500/- per year for Internet.Good Thing is that if a student does not attended even a single class in a academic calendar then he/she will be fined with Rs.1000/- and he/she become eligible to write University Examination, can't figure out what they will do after law degree.Very less Parking area.
