Every year, many companies visit the VJTI campus and provide good packages. A few years back, KJ Somaiya was performing well, but deteriorating gradually. Ultimately, the brand matters. If you get admission in an old NIT or an IIT, the tag definitely matters. As during interviews, the tag acts as a major preference.

- Academics is not a very strong suit of any of the colleges but pursuing research could prove different.
- All the old government colleges support and uplift your efforts. But it also has to be your initiative. Ultimately you have to make the right decision, while teachers and seniors can only guide you.
- If you plan to go into Investment Banking or Consulting straight out of college, only one of the old IITs or BITS gets you that.
