How many books are there in IIT Guwahati library?

IIT Guwahati library currently has 1,54,564 printed volumes and 12835 journals. 

IIT Guwahati is well known for its library in India. The main library is called Lakshminath Bezbaroa Central Library and holds a substantial collection of books and other resources. It is 7500 sq. meter wide building with 4 storeys. All the services are computerised and wifi is provided to members. It remains open for 24 hours during the semester exams to provide studying facilities to students. 

With time, the library has also shifted to full automation and is incorporating advanced techniques like RFID for efficient management of books. There are also many online depositories for students, which can be accessed via the member login. It is a vital place in IIT Guwahati, providing learning and research facilities to students and faculties.
