Dr. Kumar Vishal has been working as the Principal of Centre For Bioinformatics Polytechnic, Ranchi, Jharkhand. He has 15+ years of rich academic experience and before joining CFBP, he has worked as a Telecommunication Engineer in Detect Electronics. Also, he has done B.Tech in Electronics and Telecommunication from RTMNU of Maharashtra and M.Tech in VLSI from Rajiv Gandhi Technical University of Bhopal. His core strengths are strong communication skills, learning agility, stress tolerance, critical thinking capabilities and positive work attitude. Last but not the least, he is a long time educator and good administrator who thrives in student and parent facing roles, with extensive record of student success and parent satisfaction.
Being the Principal of the Centre For Bioinformatics Polytechnic, what are your responsibilities towards students?
As a Principal of the college, my prime responsibility is to provide world-class and employment oriented technical education to students and ensure they understand the delivered concepts properly. Along with this, making sure that students' academic and non-academic needs are addressed and fulfilled on time and providing them necessary career guidance and support also comes under the scope of my work.
How do you maintain healthy relationships with the students and fellow faculty of your institute?
Being associated with the education sector, I give more emphasis to practical exposure instead of rote learning and to establish a healthy relationship with my students and faculty members, I communicate with them on a regular basis and always remain open to feedback coming from them.
Along with this, I encourage collaboration among students and their teachers by providing suitable opportunities to them and also motivate them to stay updated with the latest trends. Last but not the least, I have given full freedom to my ambitious students to learn new technologies, explore their innovative ideas by conducting experiments and also ask them to stay connected with their peers through discussion sessions.
How do you bring in a practical and industry oriented approach towards subjects?
With the intention of making subjects more practical and industry driven in nature, we regularly encourage our students to carry out experiments on an individual basis and also conduct industrial visits and educational tours from time to time.
Apart from this, a wide variety of mini and major projects are assigned to students as and when needed and vocational training programs in reputed industries are arranged on a regular basis for them so that they can use classroom learning in real-time situations.
How do you prepare your students to deal with an outside competitive world?
For the purpose of preparing our students for this cut-throat competitive world and improving their communication skills so that they can confidently face the larger audience, our college conducts Employability Skill Enhancement Programs, various kinds of technical competitions and group discussion on a regular basis.

What was your vision when you joined the Centre For Bioinformatics Polytechnic?
My aim when I joined the Centre For Bioinformatics Polytechnic, was to provide highly efficient and world-class technical knowledge to students. And to fulfill my objective, I regularly keep myself updated with the latest developments, trends and requirements of the industrial world and also connect with my students on a regular basis to share the same knowledge with them.
What benefits and career options would be available for students after pursuing a Diploma in EEE from your college?
In this dynamic and highly-competitive world, there are a plethora of growth possibilities and work opportunities as far as the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is concerned. Because it seems impossible to imagine a life without electricity & electronic gadgets nowadays.
Also, if we carefully observe the research field, then we are still unaware of many properties and uses of electricity. Hence students after successfully finishing the Diploma in EEE from Centre For Bioinformatics Polytechnic can join government sector entities like PSUs, Maharatnas and Navratnas companies etc.
Any valuable advice which you would like to give to the students for a prosperous career ahead?
I would like to advise my dear students and youths of our society to decide practically achievable goals in their life and stay continuent to achieve them. Because we all know that life becomes meaningless if we don't have an aim while living it. So stay persistent, focused and dedicated towards your goals and don't be afraid from failures because success comes with a cost and demands sincere hard work.
