IIM Sirmaur, like all the IIMs, prepares its final merit list by calculating the composite score of the candidates. For admission to the MBA batch of 2024-26, the institute will consider components like Scaled CAT score, PI score, Academic Performance, Work Experience and two new components i.e. Gender Diversity and Trailblazer score. Last year, the composite score cutoff for the General category was 36.46 points.

IIM Sirmaur

IIM Sirmaur is one of the CAP participating institutions and thus follows the CAP cutoff and the personal interviews are also conducted through CAP. The candidates who cleared the CAP cutoff of 94 percentile overall and 73 percentile sectional in the general category were shortlisted for the personal interview round. The female candidates who were not shortlisted for CAP can apply for SAP, where the cutoff required was 80 percentile overall and 70 percentile for each section of the CAT exam.

After the PI process, the composite score of the candidates will be calculated to prepare the final merit list. IIM Sirmaur uses the composite score method to evaluate the performance among the available pool of candidates, before making the decision for admission offer. The parameters that will be considered for calculating the composite score are the Scaled CAT score, PI score, Academic Performance, Work Experience, Gender Diversity and Trailblazer score. This year the weightage of all these components has also been revised.

The composite score cutoff for this year also is expected to be similar to the above data as not much changes are seen in the cutoffs. An increase of 1 or 1.5 points can be expected. The candidates scoring a composite score above the minimum cutoff are most probably expected to receive the offer letter or waitlist offer.
