You have held key positions at education institutes throughout your professional career. What are the key factors that keep you connected with your profession?

One is the improvement of the student's career in the day-to-day learning approach and making the students professional engineers as well as how the students can be motivated for self-development as well as how to be re-empowered. So, these are the issues that we need to address at the time.

Being the principal of Bheema Institute of Science and Technology, what is your philosophy of leadership? How do you describe your leadership style? 

So, as it is an education institute, we will be dealing with the students as well as staff members. How well we can cooperate with the staff members, that is the one thing. And here, to be frank, this is a rural background, so there is a lot of motivation required for the students to excel in their education. So, it has been a mutual understanding between the staff members as well as the students to have self-motivation. So, in this particular aspect, I put more coordination between the staff as well as the students. That's great.

Being the principal of Bheema Institute of Science and Technology, how do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of the college? 

Nowadays, marketing is essential, which is a very important criterion nowadays, because we want to be in the market, to be publicized about the things that are going on the college campus, so that we can attract the students. And this has been done by providing information about the meritorious students who have attained different positions, it may be in the examinations, academic examinations, it may be in, what we say, comp examinations, like scoring the GATE score as well as ranks in various programs. So, this is one of the major milestones, I would think, to be in the market.

How does the curriculum of the Bheema Institute of Science and Technology ensure the best practice for the industry?

Yes, that's a very good question, because the students over here on the college campus will be learning the academics as per the syllabus framed by the university and it will be the classroom teaching. But nowadays, the government is also focusing on the industry-institute relationship through the programs called internship programs. So, we are encouraging the students from a second year onwards to go to the industry, to carry out the internship program. Of course, it has been mandatory for the third-year students as well as the final-year students. But still, we are focusing on what could be the different internships that can be real time in the industry, so that the student can be exposed to this industrial environment. So, that is the area where we are focusing on the industry-institute relationship with which more of the students have benefited by this.

Any insights into how your college could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

Yes. Because now, the economic status is not at a point, because even the government is focusing on and encouraging the students with the different schemes called Jagananna Vidya Deevana as well as Jagaranna Vasudeva Deevana. So, it is not at all a hurdle for the students to concentrate on the economic weakness. But, yes, there are some other programs also where the students, who are not getting that particular scholarship, even have free ships, even from philanthropists. So, this is how we are encouraging the students to have a backup related to the financial aspects.

What do you think should be the college's top priority over the next 10 years?

Yes, we are working on it because the thing is the quality, the quality of the education is of utmost criteria. So, day to day we are improving the quality and not only the internal thing, but it should be accredited by the status. So, as we are working on the NAAC, National Assessment Accreditation Council, and ahead of time we will move to NB accreditation as well as what we call, we want to work for NIRF also. In this particular aspect, yes, the college also will have a mark time milestone related to the quality that has been maintained in the institution, which will be evaluated by the boards, and advisory boards.

What do you see as the Bheema Institute of Science and Technology's greatest strength?

The greatest strength is the faculty. For any organization, not only the M.B.A. in Technology and Science, the most important thing is the faculty. So, we should rely on the faculty's strengths so that the faculty will be dealing with the students. If and only if the faculty is strong enough, then we can nurture the students to excel in their careers. So, I do believe my faculty bench is strong.
