Dr. Y. Madhusekhar began his career as a faculty member in 2008. He graduated B.Tech, M.Tech from JNTU, Hyderabad, and Ph.D. from Sri Satya Sai University of Technology & Medical Science, Bhopal. He has 15 years of experience in teaching in the area of Computer Science & Engineering. He acknowledged more than 15 PG and UG Subjects including Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Principles of Programming Languages, Data Warehousing and Mining, Programming for Problem Solving, Data Structures, Operating Systems, Computer Graphics, Python Programming, Computer Programming, etc. His areas of interest include Image and Video Processing, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Mining. He has also presented five papers in international conferences and 11 Publications in International Journals. He holds one Patent in his name. Dr. Y. Madhusekhar guided more than 20 M.Tech & 45 B.Tech Projects. He is a life member of ISTE and is interested in organizing and participating in technical activities that match his expertise and Student Advising. He is in charge of NBA & NAAC and has organized several workshops and conferences. He motivates and appreciates student creative ideologies to garnish their knowledge in a precise manner.

What is the latest program that you are offering in your institute/ dept. that will help students outperform and stand apart from the crowd?

Malla Reddy Institute of Technology and Science offers several new programs in the emerging fields of technology. They are CSE (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), CSE (Data Science), and CSE (Cyber Security). We get the students to enroll in the credit-based NPTEL (National Programmer on Technical Enhanced Learning) program. Under this, they can learn not only the theory but also acquire the necessary practical application-based skills.

The faculty of MRITS College plays a crucial role in shaping the careers of students. Our college has highly qualified and experienced faculty members who are experts in their fields. All the students will be given hands-on experience in the laboratories on a one-on-one basis. Advanced teaching modes such as ICT as well as Interactive board-based teaching are in practice in MRITS. Encouraging students to opt for internships and designing in-house projects on present-day industry-based technology is the biggest best practice in the institution.


What are some valuable insights into the program that you are offering at your institute/dept.?

Offering the right freedom for the students to choose what they want to study. Along with the theoretical, there is a demonstration session with open-source tools. The content delivery is done by the college faculty and industry experts.

How did you train yourself/ faculty to deliver this program to the students?

Teachers require a variety of skill sets for creating lesson plans, instructing students, working with administrators, and interacting with parents. While some of these skills and qualities like patience and leadership are inherent to individuals, we can develop most of them through practice and training.

We do conduct an Industry Connect Program which helps participants in a group to gain the technical development knowledge and soft skill knowledge used in the commercial world. Projects are being done in multidisciplinary tasks. Career opportunities after completion of the course are Security analyst, Security Engineer, Security Architect, Security Administrator, Chief Security Officer, and Data Protection Officer. After completing the B.Tech course, many students can either take on higher studies or pursue jobs after B.Tech in the field of their choice. Although M.Tech is a natural choice for many students, these days many opt to take up an after-BTech CSE.
