Registration for UPTAC B.Arch Counselling 2024 is Yet to be Announced: You can complete UPTAC registration for B.Arch  by visiting the official website uptac.admissions.nic.in. Only NATA-qualified candidates are allowed to participate in this counselling. In order to register you need to pay an INR 1000 fee which is not refundable. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) conducts Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling annually. It is an admission process for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) qualified students to get admission to B. Arch courses in participating institutions of the state. There is no separate entrance test for students as the counselling process solely focuses on the NATA score.

Eligibility

Who Can Participate in UPTAC B.Arch Counselling 2024?

If you want to participate in UPTAC B.Arch Counselling 2024 then you must fulfil all the eligibility criteria set by Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University.

  • You should have passed the intermediate exam of the Uttar Pradesh Board or 10+2 (or equivalent) exam with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with 50% marks in aggregate in both cases OR
  • You should have qualified for a 10+3 diploma with 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as a compulsory subject
  • You must have a valid NATA 2024 score.
  • You must pass the qualifying exam from any college in the UP and your parents must have a UP domicile. In case you do not pass the qualifying exam from the state then you must convey your parent’s domicile certificate.
  • This counselling is also open to the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from any institution located outside U.P. and whose parents (both Father and Mother) are not domicile of U.P. subject to the eligibility conditions.

Things We Must Know About UPTAC B.Arch Counselling 2024

  • Registration for counselling can be made online only.
  • The registration fee (INR 1000) is not refundable under any circumstances.
  • You do not need to send a hard copy/photocopy of any document, whatsoever, to the University at this stage.
  • You are required to upload scanned images of his/her latest colour photograph and signature in the application form. Application forms having blurred photographs are liable to be rejected.
  • You must be NATA-qualified to participate in the counselling.
  • You need to be very careful while filling the registration form as after final submission you will not be allowed to make changes.
  • You do not need to send a “Confirmation Page” printed after completion and submission of Online application form to the University. However, you should keep the printout of the Confirmation page for record. You are also advised to note down the Application Form Number for any future correspondences.
  • 20% of the total sanctioned seats available to All India candidates for admission in first year in all courses in institutions affiliated to AKTU subject to eligibility conditions. Thus, 20% of the total sanctioned seats for admission in the first year of all courses in Institutions affiliated to AKTU shall be open to All India candidates. These seats shall be filled on the basis of merit in the respective examinations.
  • There is no age limit for admission to the courses covered in the counselling.
  • The Certificate for OBC candidate and Certificate for EWS candidate should be issued on or after 01.04.2024 (mandatory due to condition of creamy layer for OBC) and Certificate for EWS candidates should be valid for Academic Year 2024-25.
  • You will not be eligible for admission if your qualifying exam results are not declared by the registration deadline for counselling.
  • If any document/declaration submitted by you is found to be false at any stage, your admission shall be cancelled, and you may be liable for prosecution under the law. In case of any legal dispute, the jurisdiction will be limited to Lucknow courts only.
  • You must ensure your eligibility while registering for counselling. If you are not eligible for courses in the counselling and registered for so; you will not have any claim whatsoever, for admission to any course.

Counselling Process

How Can I Participate in the UPTAC B.Arch Counselling 2024?

You can easily participate in the UPTAC B.Arch Counselling process if you meet all the criteria. Below-mentioned points can help you understand the process clearly.

  • You need to register first for the UPTAC B. Tech counselling on the official website uptac.admissions.nic.in using login credentials. You need to upload important personal and academic details along with the registration fee of INR 1000.
  • The Central Document Verification Team will verify your uploaded documents and after verification, an SMS/email will be sent to you.
  • In choice filling you need to enter your preferred courses and colleges in the form so that you can get seats accordingly. After locking your choices you have to wait for the seat allotment result. Seats will be allotted based on your merit, preferences and availability of seats.
  • You can check your seat allotment results on the website by logging in with the required credentials. You have to secure your seats by paying the seat confirmation fees which are 20000 for general and OBC candidates/ 12000 for SC/ST candidates.
  • The fee paid at the time of counselling by you, after the allotment of seat will be forfeited and will not be refunded under any circumstances (except in the case of withdrawal from counselling as per schedule), even if you do not report for the admission to the allotted institutions.
  • The UPTAC admission process will be done once you visit the allotted institute with all the required documents and admission fees.
  • Online Willingness: Three options will be available for you in the seat allotment process.
    1. Freeze: If you are satisfied with the allotment of seats, you can choose ‘freeze’ which means you accept the allotted seats and do not want to participate in the next rounds of seat allotment.
    2. Float: By choosing this option you will accept your seat but will be eligible for the further rounds of seat allotment. The UPTAC B.Arch counselling will be conducted in five rounds along with two additional spot rounds so you will get multiple chances to get a suitable seat.
    3. Withdrawal: If you choose the ‘withdrawal’ option then you will be able to cancel your participation in the counselling process.
