CEED 2024 scorecards are available from today, Mar 11, 2024. Candidates can download their scorecards till June 12, 2024. IIT Bombay has released the CEED 2024 results on March 06, 2024. Candidates can go to the exam portal – ceed.iitb.ac.in and check their results and download the scorecards.
CEED 2024: IIT Bombay conducted the CEED 2024 exams from 9 am to 12 noon today, January 21, 2024. Initial feedback indicates that the exam was considered easy, and there's an expectation of a high cut-off. There are currently Five participating institutes of CEED 2024. The five participating institutes are - IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIT Jabalpur. Keep reading for a detailed exam analysis, covering difficulty level, expected cut-off, question weightage, specific questions, and more.
The CEED 2024 Cut off marks for Part A will be announced before the declaration of UCEED 2024 results. Candidates who clear Part A will be shortlisted and assigned a merit rank. Part B answer booklet will only be evaluated if the candidate qualifies Part A. The Total score and Part B marks will be released for shortlisted candidates only.
CEED 2024 response sheet download page will be inactive, and the pdf file will be deleted from the server as the results are out now. Candidates with a merit rank in CEED 2024 will be eligible for the Joint Seat Allotment process conducted by IIT Bombay.
What is CEED Exam? CEED is a national-level entrance examination conducted by IIT Bombay on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India to offer admission to M.Des and Ph.D. programs in design at renowned institutes like IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Hyderabad, and many more. Admissions to postgraduate design courses is offered based on CEED 2024 scores and interviews.
CEED 2024 is conducted both online and offline. Part A of CEED 2024 exam is conducted as a computer-based format, whereas Part B is conducted offline. Notably, Part B answer booklets are only assessed upon qualification in Part A.
- CEED 2024 Part A exam duration is one hour and encompass sections on NAT, MSQ, and MCQ.

The final CEED 2024 scores are calculated based on 25% weightage to Part A and 75% weightage to Part B. Candidates must note that, CEED 2024 scores for Part A are released for all candidates however, Part B results are displayed only for shortlisted candidates. Meanwhile, CEED ranks are assigned to all shortlisted candidates.

CEED 2024 Eligibility Criteria
There are certain conditions that a candidate has to fulfill before filling the application form. CEED 2024 Eligibility Criteria lays out various academic and age limit conditions as given below.
- Age limit: No age limit
- Number of attempts: No restriction on the number of attempts
- Accepted degree types: Any recognized 4-year or 3+2 years (after 10+2 level) or 3-year degree/diploma/postgraduate degree program after 10+2
- Final year students (by July 2024): Final year candidates or those awaiting results can apply, provided they show proof of eligibility during admissions
- GD Arts diploma program (10+5 level): Candidates passing the program by July 2024 are eligible

CEED 2024 Application Form
CEED 2024 Application Forms have been released in online mode. CEED 2024 Application Form will be available on the official website – CEED.iitb.ac.in/2024/.
Prerequisites for CEED 2024 Registration
- Recent Photograph: After scanning and saving it in .jpg file format
- Scanned copy of Signature in .jpg file format
- Scanned copy of Academic Records / Certificates
- Certificate of Category Sc / St / OBC NCL: Scan and save it in .pdf file format. Certificate for OBC NCL will be accepted if issued after April 1, 2019.
- The candidate whose name is not the same as the name on the degree/diploma certificate should produce a gazette notification, marriage certificate, or scanned page of passport showing the change of name (.pdf format).

How to Apply for CEED 2024?
Downloading and submission of CEED 2024 Application Form is a very simple task and can be performed perfectly remembering some facts about pre-arrangement of all documents required to be uploaded with the application form for CEED 2024.
Step 1- RegistrationbVisit the Official Website of CEED 2024 to register
- Enter a valid e-mail ID and mobile number.
- Verify the e-mail ID and save the password received on the mobile number
Step 2- Form Filling and Uploading Documents
- Log in using the E-mail ID and Password received.
- Enter the personal, academic and communication details in CEED 2024 Application form
- Choose and mention 3 CEED 2024 Exam Centers.

- Review and click on ‘Pay fee and Submit’.
Step 3- Fee Payment
- Post clicking on Pay Fee and Submit, you are redirected to the Bill desk for the payment process.

CEED 2024 Exam Pattern
CEED 2024 Exam Pattern includes two parts, A & B and the total duration of the examination is 3 hours. Candidates who clear Part A will be eligible to appear for Part B of the exam. The duration of Part A is 1 hour. The duration of Part B is 2 hours. Part B will start only after Part A ends.
- Marks obtained in Part A will be used to shortlist candidates.
- Part B answer books will be evaluated manually for the candidates who are shortlisted from Part A. In Part B, there will be 5 questions for a total of 100 marks. There will not be any optional questions.
- Part A is an online test that contains multiple-choice questions that will include design aptitude questions for evaluating a candidate’s Visualisation and Spatial Ability, Observation and Design Sensitivity, Environmental and Social Awareness, etc.
- In Part B, questions are displayed on the computer screen and answers are to be written on an answer sheet. Questions in Part B are aimed at testing design, drawing, and writing skills.
The final CEED score will be calculated by giving 25% weightage to marks obtained in Part A and 75% weightage to marks obtained in Part B.
CEED 2024 Syllabus
There is no specific prescribed CEED Syllabus. Candidates can refer to the previous year trends to understand the type of questions asked. Candidates must prepare according to CEED 2024 Syllabus, gaining extensive knowledge about each of the topics. IIT Bombay has revised CEED 2024 syllabus PDF. The older syllabus for CEED exam weighed visual-spatial components more, however, the latest revised syllabus balances it with analytical and scientific concepts.
CEED 2024 Syllabus: Part A
- Visualization and Spatial Ability: Pictorial and diagrammatic questions assessing understanding of transforming and manipulating 2D shapes, 3D objects, and spatial relationships.
- Observation and Design Sensitivity: Detecting hidden properties in everyday life, promoting critical thinking. Recognizing subtle visual distinctions and aesthetic outcomes.
- Environmental and Social Awareness: Grasping environmental impact on design: climate, population, water, pollution. Familiarity with design terminology, cultural significance, historical context, and responsible, eco-conscious design. Knowledge of art, sculpture, and literary history.
- Analytical and Logical Reasoning: Proficiency in logical analysis and solution selection. Evaluating opinions, arguments based on pertinent criteria. Applying structured thinking to deduce precise responses from provided passages.
- Language and Creativity: Proficiency in comprehending English passages. Cultivating creative thinking, differentiating innovative alternatives, and thinking beyond conventional boundaries.
- Design Thinking and Problem Solving: Understanding context, user requirements, and limitations. Optimal selection of solutions for specified design challenges.
CEED 2024 Syllabus: Part B
- Drawing: Ability to draw products, people, or scenes in proportion with good line quality, composition, proportion, perspective, and shading.
- Creativity: Ability to think out of the box and come up with unique as well as diverse solutions.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate concepts and ideas clearly with the help of text and visuals.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to understand the user and the context, knowledge of properties of materials and process and their appropriate use in design, originality of solutions, ability to create characters, plots, and stories, etc.

CEED 2024 Admit Card
CEED 2024 Admit Card will be available for download from January, 2024. Eligible candidates will have to download CEED 2024 Admit Card online. It will not be sent to any candidate via mail or post.
- Details contained on the admit card are the name of the candidate, date of birth, roll number, photograph, signature, examination date, examination time, examination venue

CEED 2024 Exam Center
IIT Bombay will decide the list of CEED 2024 Exam Centers. Candidates can choose 3 cities in order of preference at the time of filling in the application form for CEED 2024.
A city may have more than one examination center. Once the application form is submitted, a change in the examination center is not possible. No request in this matter will be entertained.

CEED 2024 Cutoff
Part A is a qualifying exam in CEED 2024, with the qualifying cut-off to be declared in February 2024, indicated by standard deviation (11.16) and mean deviation (18.62). Candidates meeting the minimum Part A qualifying marks will have their Part B test paper assessed manually.
For those shortlisted from Part A, Part B answer books will be manually evaluated. The merit list for CEED 2024 will be based solely on Part B scores.
The CEED 2024 cutoff will be published once participating institutes announce it. Each institute has its own separate cutoff, influenced by factors like the number of applicants, available program seats, and preferred programs. The cutoff also considers minimum qualifying marks as per the institutions' requirements.

Ques. When will CEED 2024 Application Form be released?
Ans. CEED 2024 Application Forms are out on the official website. Candidates can fill the registration form till October 31 with a regular fee syllabus and till November 8 with a late fee.
