AKTU has started the UPTAC 2025 B.Tech counselling registration on the official website uptac.admissions.nic.in. JEE and non-JEE/CUET candidates can start registration from May 27, 2025. Candidates must choose their type of registration – JEE or Non-JEE/CUET UG, JEE Main application number, and password to register online. The last date for registration is June 30, 2025.

UPTAC 2025 Counselling Application Process:

Step 1: Online Registration and Uploading Documents
To apply, aspirants need to register themselves on the official website of Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling i.e uptac.admissions.nic.in by entering their application number and password. After successful registration, candidates need to upload the required personal and academic details.
Step 2: Payment of Counseling Fees
After uploading the required documents, candidates are required to pay the Counseling Fees of INR.1000 through. The theCounseling Fees of UPTAC 2025 can be paid via various online payment modes i.e., debit card/ credit card or net banking.

Once the documents are uploaded, the documents will be verified by the Central Document Verification Team. After successful verification, an email/ SMS will be sent to the aspirants as a receipt.
Step 4: Online Choice Filing
After verification, aspirants need to log in to the official site by entering their login credentials to access the choice filling section and fill in their Choice of Institutions and Branches in the order of Priority during choice filling.
Step 5: Seat Allotment
On the basis of choice filling, the authorities will release the result of seat allotment in online mode. Aspirants by using login credentials can check their seat allotment results.
Step 6: Seat Acceptance and Fee Payment
Once the seat allotment is done, aspirants will have the option to Float or Freeze the Allotted Seat, for which they have to pay a Seat Acceptance fee of INR. 20000 for categories belonging to General and OBC and INR. 12000 for SC and ST categories.
Step 7: Online Willingness
If a candidate is not satisfied with the assigned seats, then he/she can follow the given below process.
- Freeze Option: Aspirants if they are satisfied with the decision can choose to freeze their allocated seat.
- Float Option: Aspirants can hold on to the assigned seat but remain eligible for further rounds of counseling.
- Withdrawal Option: If the aspirants are not satisfied with the assigned seat then they can cancel the assigned seat in the counseling process.
Step 8: Reporting to the Allotted College
After accepting the seat and submitting the fee payment, candidates need to report to the allotted college within the specific time period with all the required documents and complete their admission process.
