UCEED Eligibility Criteria 2024
As per the UCEED 2024 eligibility criteria, candidates must have completed the HSC exam/10+2 board exam in the year 2024.
- Students who are scheduled to appear for the 10+2 board exam in 2024 are also eligible to apply for admission through UCEED. However, they must successfully pass the qualifying exam at the time of admission. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of their candidature for undergraduate programs in different design disciplines.
- Applicants from various academic backgrounds are eligible to apply to different institutions under UCEED:
- Students from Science stream without Maths or Physics or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities can apply for admission to IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and IIT Hyderabad.
- Students with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology at the 10+2 level can apply for BDes admission at IIITDM Jabalpur.
- Candidates who have passed the 10+2 exam or its equivalent from the Science discipline with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects can apply for admission to undergraduate design B.Des programs at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIITDM Jabalpur.
UCEED Eligibility Criteria 2024- Age limit
- As per the UCEED 2024 eligibility criteria, candidates belonging to the Open/EWS/OBC-NCL categories must have been born on or after October 1, 1999, to be eligible for the entrance test.
- On the other hand, candidates from SC, ST, or PwD categories are given a relaxation of five years in the age criteria. Therefore, students falling under the SC/ST/PwD category will be eligible to register for the UCEED 2024 entrance test if their date of birth is on or after October 1, 1994.
UCEED 2024 Reservation Criteria
The category-wise reservation of seats in UCEED 2024 is given below:

UCEED 2024 Eligibility Criteria for B.Design
UCEED Qualified: Aspirants who have passed the UCEED 2024 entrance exam and must have obtained a rank in UCEED 2024 are eligible to apply for admission to the B. Des courses.
Qualifying Examination: Aspirants who have passed all five subjects in the 10+2 or its equivalent examination in 2023 or will appear for the first time in the 2024 qualifying exam are eligible to appear for the UCEED 2024 exam. Those aspirants who appeared for the first time in their higher secondary examination in 2022 or earlier will not be able to appear for the UCEED 2024 exam.
UCEED 2024 Eligibility Criteria: Institute-wise
The eligibility criteria for the five participating institutes under UCEED 2024 are as follows:
- Candidates from the Science Stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) at 10+2 level are eligible to apply for admission to ALL five participating institutes, which include IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIITDM Jabalpur.
- Candidates from any other stream such as Science without Mathematics or Physics or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities at the 10+2 level are eligible to apply for admission to IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and IIT Hyderabad.
- For admission to BDes at IIITDM Jabalpur, only students with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology (PCB) at the 10+2 level are eligible to apply. Students from Arts or Humanities at the 10+2 level are not eligible to apply for BDes admissions at IIITDM Jabalpur.
