CISCE activates two portals simultaneously when the ISC result goes live: the main website cisce.org and the dedicated results portal results.cisce.org. Both require your UID and Index Number. Here is how to check your result using each method.

Method 1: Check on cisce.org / results.cisce.org

1. Go to cisce.org or results.cisce.org.
2. Click on the Results link or banner on the homepage.
3. Select ISC (Class XII) from the exam dropdown.
4. Enter your UID (Unique ID) — printed on your CISCE admit card and school registration letter.
5. Enter your Index Number — your school’s CISCE index code followed by your individual roll number.
6. Click Submit or Show Result.
7. Your marksheet appears on screen. Download or save it as a PDF for your records.

Method 2: Access via DigiLocker

1. Open the DigiLocker app or visit digilocker.gov.in.

ISC Result 2027: Marksheet Details

The physical marksheet and pass certificate are dispatched to your school by CISCE after result declaration. Collect them from your school once they arrive — typically within a few weeks of the result. For immediate use in college applications, the DigiLocker copy is equally valid and accepted.

If you notice any error on the marksheet — wrong name spelling, incorrect subject marks, or a wrong grade — report it to your school’s CISCE coordinator immediately. The school submits a correction request to CISCE on your behalf. Do not delay — CISCE’s correction window closes within a few weeks of result declaration.

ISC Passing Marks 2027

To pass ISC 2027, you need to clear two requirements simultaneously: a subject-level passing threshold in every subject you appear for, and an aggregate threshold across your qualifying subjects. Missing either one means you do not receive a full ISC pass for that year.

For subjects with a practical or project component, the theory and practical portions are assessed independently. Scoring well in theory does not compensate for failing the practical. For example, in a subject with 70 marks in theory and 30 in practical, you need at least 24 in theory (33% of 70 = 23.1, rounded up) and at least 10 in practical (33% of 30 = 9.9, rounded up).

Internal assessment marks — school-based tests, assignments, project submissions — are part of your total subject score. These are submitted to CISCE by your school before the board exams begin. They count toward your final score but are evaluated by the school under CISCE’s guidelines, not by external CISCE examiners.

ISC Grading System 2027

CISCE assigns a letter grade for every subject based on the percentage marks you score in that subject. The grade gives colleges and institutions a quick-read performance tier alongside the raw marks. Grades are computed subject-wise, not as an overall grade for the marksheet.

The grade is based on your combined subject marks (theory + practical + internal assessment) expressed as a percentage of the maximum for that subject. Your aggregate percentage, not the letter grade, is typically the primary criterion used by colleges for merit-based admissions. However, some scholarships and merit programmes screen on letter grades, so an A1 or A2 in key subjects can be useful beyond just the number.

ISC does not assign a cumulative GPA or a single overall grade to the result — the overall pass/fail status and aggregate percentage together constitute the result summary. The grade column on the marksheet is strictly subject-level.

ISC Grace Marks 2027

CISCE has a moderation policy under which students who narrowly miss the passing mark in a subject may receive a small number of additional marks. This is applied internally during result preparation, before the result is compiled and released.

• Grace marks are awarded at CISCE’s discretion, based on the board’s internal assessment of answer script difficulty and evaluation variances — they are not guaranteed for every borderline student.
• They can only bring a student up to the subject-passing threshold (33%). Grace marks do not inflate a student’s score beyond the passing mark.
• CISCE does not individually notify students whether grace marks were applied. The final score on the marksheet already reflects any moderation.
• Students do not need to apply for grace marks. The process is entirely internal to CISCE and happens before the result is declared.
• If your marksheet shows a score at or just above 33% in a subject you expected to fall short in, moderation may have played a role — but the marksheet does not indicate this separately.

The grace marks policy is distinct from revaluation. Revaluation is a student-initiated process (applied for after the result) where a second examiner re-evaluates your answer script. Moderation is a board-level process applied to all scripts before the result comes out. Both are separate mechanisms that serve different purposes.

ISC Compartment Exam 2027

If you fail in exactly one subject in ISC 2027, you are eligible for the ISC Compartment Exam 2027 — a second-chance examination for the failed subject, held a few months after the main result. Clearing the compartment exam earns you a full ISC pass certificate for the 2027 cycle, without needing to repeat the entire year.

Students who fail in two or more subjects in ISC 2027 are not eligible for the compartment exam. They can re-appear for the ISC 2028 cycle — either as a full regular candidate through a CISCE-affiliated school, or as a private candidate for individual subjects, subject to CISCE’s eligibility rules for private candidates at the time.

Revaluation and Re-checking after ISC 2027: Even if you pass, you can apply for re-checking or revaluation within the window CISCE opens after the result. Re-checking means a senior examiner verifies that every answer was marked and the total was correctly carried forward. Revaluation means your script is re-evaluated entirely by a second examiner. If revaluation improves your score, a revised marksheet is issued. If the score is the same or lower, the original mark stands — CISCE does not reduce marks through revaluation.
