BCECE 2027 Preparation Tips
You should start your BCECE 2027 preparation with the Class 11 and 12 NCERT syllabus.
- Most questions in the exam are based on NCERT concepts with some application-based problems.
Here are the key tips to score well in BCECE 2027:
| Preparation Strategy | Details |
|---|---|
| Complete NCERT Textbooks First |
|
| Solve Previous Year Question Papers | Practice at least the last 5 years of BCECE question papers to understand the exam pattern, important topics, and difficulty level. |
| Focus on Negative Marking | Each incorrect answer results in a deduction of 1 mark. Avoid random guessing and attempt only those questions you are reasonably confident about. |
| Prioritise Biology and Chemistry (PCB Group) | Biology and Chemistry are generally considered high-scoring subjects. Candidates in the PCB group should allocate more time to these sections, as they are often easier to score well in compared to Physics. |
| Agriculture Preparation Strategy | Students applying for Agriculture courses should focus on Class 12 Agriculture textbooks, including NCERT Agriculture and Bihar School Examination Board Agriculture books. |
| Take Mock Tests Regularly | Attempt full-length mock tests under timed conditions (90 minutes per paper) to improve speed, accuracy, and exam temperament. |
| Prepare Short Notes | Create concise revision notes for Chemistry and Biology, covering formulas, reactions, definitions, and important concepts for quick last-minute review. |

Admission to medical colleges cannot be taken through BCECE anymore, because BCECE no longer conducts a separate medical exam. All MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS and BUMS admissions in Bihar are now done only through NEET-UG, and BCECEB conducts state counselling based on your NEET score. After NEET results, you must register on the BCECEB portal, upload documents, choose colleges, and participate in Round 1, Round 2 and Mop-up counselling. Seat allotment depends on NEET marks, category and available seats.
