Can I join MTech without GATE?
Yes, you can join MTech without GATE. For example, if you have a 3-year undergraduate degree you might need to appear for IIT JAM rather than GATE for MTech. A few other ways are to appear for state-entrance exams such as AP PGECET, TS PGECET, or university-specific exams such as IPU CET, TUEE, etc.
Otherwise, for sponsored MTech admission without GATE you should be aware of the following points:
- The admission is based on a merit list released by different colleges and universities.
- You should have a minimum of 2 years of work experience while applying for direct MTech.
- Some universities also require a No Objection Certificate by the candidate’s employer and the employer must take full responsibility for their financial expenses.
