NEET UG was conducted on May 5 2024 for all candidates seeking TN MBBS Admission. Tamil Nadu MBBS Admission 2024: Eligibility criteria
The basic Eligibility Criteria for getting admission to MBBS are determined by the authority. The following section cover the most important aspects that a candidate needs to keep in mind before getting themselves register for the MBSB admission.
- Nationality: candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- Domicile Candidate: The candidate must be a bona fide resident of TN.
- Candidates who have completed their class 6 to 12 education from the state are not required to submit the nativity certificate. However, they have to submit their parent's birth certificate, ration card, SSLC/10/12 certificate, or no graduate certificate if their parents are illiterate.
- Applications from other states living currently in Tamil Nadu are not considered under the domicile status and must take admitted in the open category.
- Domiciles of Tamil Nadu who have completed their partial education from class 6 to 12th in another state must submit the important documents of their parents as mentioned above. A permanent residence certificate will not be accepted as an alternative to the nativity certificate.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be 17 years old. The upper limit of age for NEET is 25 years for the general category and 30 years for SC ST and OBC.
- Education: The candidate must have completed class 12th in the required subjects(PCB) with biotechnology and English as the main subjects from the state.
- Marks: Unreserved category must have at least 50% in PCB while SC, ST and OBC students are required to obtain 40% in the required subjects in class 12.
