The course is the best amongst rest . Because the compitition is less. The demand is also good in the industry. You'll get all the knowledge about how everything works in campus itself internship are also very helpful to learn.
BFTECH is basically about how the fashion industry and it's logistics works. Anyone who is passionate about fashion and wants to learn about the inner working of the fashion world, then go for this course. The students present is one class is 30 maximum. The faculty are all PHD holder and are from premier institutions like IIT. One semester is for about 6months and there are 2assignments in between along with a end test.
I choosed this course because I had an intrusion towards the design field. There are girls to boy ratio of 5:1. The faculty is very good. The teaching method is very good. They teach in the perfect way. Through zoom meeting we even saw the real raw materials towards design which won't be possible in offline mode. The teachers are well qualified even done courses from abroad. The exams are a little tough. Especially the CAT test which is a drawing test where it judges on the basis of creative thinking.
I chose this course because I wanted to opt for this field. The faculties here are really talented, excel in their subjects they teach, helpful and much cooperative. Only 7k to 8k students can qualify NIFT entrances out of 13-15 lacs student all over the country Most of the faculties are doctorate or they have completed masters from abroad. Exams are held in 3 terms-mid terms, end term and jury, and these exams r really easy to qualify for. If u have innovative and creativity then u can easily pass with good marks
I chose this course because I always had a keen interest in art and creative design. My school art teacher also had a long record of training students for NIFT, as he had helped students to score AIR 1,2,3 many times. Student: faculty ratio is decent, neither too bad nor the best. It's almost around 28-1. Some faculties are very experienced but many are new. I mean they had passed NIFT themselves 5-6 years back and now they are also training students at the institute. I m a first-year student so i haven't appeared for any exam but i must say the curriculum has a very vast number of assignments for the student to complete before they appear for their respective exams.
The faculties are good and are putting efforts. I think the infrastructure could have been better but other than that I am quite satisfied with the course and academia. Our fabric science professor Dr. Abhijeet Mukherjee has been my favourite faculty to go with, with his immense effort and dedication
The faculty members here are experienced, qualified and helpful too. The classroom teaching is equipped with LCD projectors. Some classes are conducted in IT labs which are equipped with different software helpful for the teaching of students and making them aware of the current trend in the industry. The students are going for industry visit on a regular basis as it is a part of the syllabus.
Its bit expensive as compared to other government colleges. There are various subjects related to leather design where one can learn great things related to future aspects.
Yes, nift provides with an excellent environment for practical based learning and balanced studies, there's a lot to learn in this field. Faculty are supportive and are ready to help even after college hours
The course is pretty well built but the faculties can be lazy and ignorant sometimes, they donÕt communicate enough and do not give design insights but aesthetic insights and thatÕs not what design is about
