Remarks :
The college is pretty good with a well-maintained campus. The course is relatively new as compared to other courses. So u have less competition and more chances of growth. NIFT provides you to explore your creative ideas in designing and provides a good mentorship to help you out with your projects and course. The admission process is pretty simple, you have to appear for all India level examination which normally has three round but in 2020 due to pandemic, there were only two rounds and the result was declared on the basis of these two rounds. The third round is a kind of spot round where you have to prepare some 3d models with explanations so that your teacher can evaluate your project properly. NIFT is going to be ranked among top colleges in the coming future as it has a wide scope. So it's better to go for NIFT courses rather than choosing other courses. The student just has to explore his creativity for a bright future in NIFT.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I always had a keen interest in art and creative design. My school art teacher also had a long record of training students for NIFT, as he had helped students to score AIR 1,2,3 many times. Student: faculty ratio is decent, neither too bad nor the best. It's almost around 28-1. Some faculties are very experienced but many are new. I mean they had passed NIFT themselves 5-6 years back and now they are also training students at the institute. I m a first-year student so i haven't appeared for any exam but i must say the curriculum has a very vast number of assignments for the student to complete before they appear for their respective exams.
Placement Experience :
Not still placed, I m a first-year student but the college has a good placement record. When I was taking admission I had conversed with many of the seniors and they are quite well placed and the only thing to note is, u might not get an initial high package but you will get exponential growth in your coming years.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I would like to bring it to your knowledge that these colleges are government colleges but their fees are too much for a middle-class family. Its first term tution fees are around 264000 excluding all other charges like hostel and mess. So it's quite an expensive college. The only aid which government provides is their SARTHAK policy which is a central government aid program to help students with financial problems. If you are selected for the SARTHAK program, you may get upto 75% off on your tution fees. I must say that the initial job offers are decent but the growth is too good.
Campus Life :
There are many different clubs to join. The college encourages its student to take part in different clubs. We have a cultural club known as a spectrum which is the most famous club in our college. We also have other clubs such as fitness club, art club and many more.
Interview Experience :
There were interviews in the admission process but this year due to covid that part was excluded and the admission was based on the initial two rounds. So I don't have much information about questions asked in interviews
