Dislikes

The clubs and societies at the institute are not much active which becomes an issue if one really wants to connect and build a certain hobby or interest
People here are very much academically inclined which sometimes misses out the practical application aspect.

Placement Experience:

Since IISER Bhopal is a research based institute, the placements here are not judged as in aspect of job placements after bachelor's degree, rather people here generally go for higher studies. But regardless the knowledge and experience gained here by people help them apply for any organisation off campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

The first year course includes Maths , programming, biology, chemistry, physics, PET 2nd year students have oppertunity to choose 3 premajors of their interest. However each subject have a capping of 150. The last three years of degree is for the major subject.

The flexibility of the course and the exposure to different branches
The network of scientific people and their passion for science

Dislikes

The schedule can get hectic and some days do feel draining both physically and mentallly
The condition of the living hostels is not great and can be significantly improved

Course Curriculum Overview:

The core research-based curriculum made me opt for this course. The flexibility of choosing 3 out of 6 subjects in second year is perhaps one of the best part of this course. The teaching methods employed are excellent and the design of the course is well structured

A brief and simple review on Iiser Bhopal

The campus is really good! There is also a hillside for spending time and sightseeing.
There are loads of social activities for students. Everymonth we get to celebrate different festivals. Their are various clubs depending upon the interests of the students.

Dislikes

There are many formalities to be done for a simple requirement. We have to take permissions from the Students affairs for having a meeting with our junior batches.

Placement Experience:

Mostly the students here don't go after placements. They usually carry their Phds after they get graduated from here. Just doing Masters is not enough nowadays to get a good job in any of the scientific fields. Iiser bhopal has launched its own placement cell recently

Everything is good here, atmosphere, faculty, facilities and all
Boys : Girls ratio is 2.5:1, not bad though

Dislikes

Hostel rooms are a bit less in size, a bit tough to settle
It would be better if we could use sports facilities more

Placement Experience:

Bs-Engineering and Economics students mainly get placed, BS-MS students goes for further studies like PhD. Average package is 10LPA. I will apply for PhD after my Bs-Ms dual degree. Highest package offered is about 36LPA

Low teacher:student ratio of every department

Course Curriculum Overview:

The books used in the course material are of international level. The curriculum prepares a student so practically for academic career and gives exposure to research experiences. The total number of exams are 4-6 in whole semester and the end semester exam paper is mostly difficult amongst them all .

It has a beautiful and green campus with vibrant environment for learning.
The faculties are very supportive and has good knowledge of there field.

Dislikes

The administration is highly Non supportive. You have to wait a lot to get your work done.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well organised. The college offers many programs like BS, Bs-Ms, msc, phd etc the bs-ms program is 5 years with 1st 2 years focused on overall scientific development. The major years 3 and 4 are highly focused on developing a good intellectual understanding of a partial subject. the final year is the thesis year. Each sem has 2 quizzes, a mid-sem and an end sem in duration of 4 months. The institute provides various options for higher studies after MS like PhD, industries etc.

Collage is good with beautiful building and great infrastructure
Great place for the people who are interested in playing games

Dislikes

Mess food is very bad and only breakfast is good for every people.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Students have frequency exam every month. Their we have quiz 1, mid-semester examination, Quiz 2 and End-semester examination. Teachers have their Teaching Assistant with them to help students to clear their doubts.
