Course Description
Interested candidates have to fill out an online application to apply for MSRIT Bangalore. The stepwise application procedure is mentioned below.
- Go to the official website of MSRIT.
- Click on the Apply link available at the end of the home page.
- Now fill the form of the desired course with all the essential details.
- After filling, submit the form and take a printout of the same for future reference.
Eligibility Criteria
- A candidate who has passed 10 + 2 pattern of examination (equivalent to the two year Pre University in Karnataka) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination is eligible to pursue an undergraduate degree in engineering at MSRIT.
- The eligibility for admission is 45% in case of General Category and 40% marks in the qualifying examination in case of SC/ST, Category-1 and OBC Category candidates. The marks obtained by the candidate in Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics in the qualifying examination will be considered in the place of Chemistry in case the marks obtained in Chemistry is less for the required aggregate percentage for the purpose of determination of eligibility (and not for the purpose of determination of rank, in respect of engineering/technology courses).

My course is B.E in chemical engineering. In initial days of my school days i interested in chemistry and oil processing techniques so i take chemical engineering in B.E . My course basically of about heat and mass transfer techniques, ores extraction techniques, etc

I chose this course as it was something different other than the usual courses. And I also found that this course has future applications. There are 1:3 students. We have well qualified faculties and they teach really well except for a few. Our term exams were conducted on time and it was moderately difficult.

All of my faculty have Ph.D. or are either pursuing Ph.D. There are many projects where u can assist the teachers, giving you more exposure to teachers, labs. The teaching method is good they stick to the curriculum and try to provide extra information as and when required. Exams happen roughly let's say every 1.5 months. 2 Internal tests and the final Sem end exam. Passing the subjects was never an issue but acing the exam (getting 85% +) is kind of difficult.

Basically I choosed chemical engineering because I have Intrest in oil refineries and working there. So writing gate exam and getting good score leads me to qualify such companies interviews. We have 2 internals and 1 semester end exam. Aslo faculty is good according to experience not through qualifications
Fee Structure And Facilities:
Its a kind of feasible one yet expensive if we compare to some of the colleges. The total fees for four years of course duration is around nine lakh twenty five thousand. Hostel fees are separate. The tuition fee itself is 2 lakh per year.

Since I come from a KCET seat, my fees are quite affordable. I have to pay approximately 60000 every year which includes most of the amenities like wifi and parking. The additional fees I pay are only exam fees during each semester which is approx 1000. The college provides transparency in the breakdown of the fee. There are multiple modes of payment that the college accepts.

Basically, for other states students for them, it is a bit expensive when compared will localities, other states they almost pay 3 times more fee when compared with same state student fees structure for four years will be around 7. 5 lacks for comedk students and for localities 65k.

The tuition Fee is feasible.The student is charged for tuition , wifi , maintainence of the campus, other facilities. First year the fees is charged separately, from second year the fees is taken including the CET fees.The fee is feasible.

For us the fees for a year is 1.85 lakh. Its major contributor is turion fee which is around 1.6 lakh. Other things include exam fees, college internet fees and some more. According to me it is expensive. Facilities provided are not worth of this amount.
