St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata was established in 1860 and it is affiliated to Calcutta University. Eligibility of the course is an aggregate of 55% in the subject you wish to do honours with and best of 3 subjects in your board exam. However students with 90% and above have a higher chance of being selected. Application form is available on their college website sxccal.in with a charge of 600.

The selection is based on the board results. The college decides on a cut off marks and if you exceed that, you will be selected. Then it's the normal procedure like all the other places. Check the merit list, pay and take your seats.

Any student who has scored more than 90% in their class 12 boards can easily apply for admission to this college. All the necessary information about the admission structure is available on the official college website. I have not availed any reservation benefit. The frequency and timing is pretty decent and the difficuly level is moderate. Admission process is perfect.

The admission process is not very tough. You'll have to apply whe form opens on official website and then a 3 merit lists come in a span of around 15 days. The lowest cutoff for cbse is 88-89% and icse is 86-87%. No tests are conducted for bcom course

The admission Process is no doubt smooth, fast, easy and efficient. The course has an eligibility of 90% Marks scored in 12th board examinations and must include mathematics as a compulsory subject. The application form is available online in college website at the right time with all the structure of the fees properly mentioned and the last dates given. Students can apply as per their convenience and requirements. Reservation benefits are available to the SC, ST and backward classes. Christian students are also considered for reservation and their eligible marks is a bit lower than general students. Alumni reference can also play a role in admission. Exams are held in best time after proper education has been provided by professors. Exams cover the entire scope of study and provide us with the necessary guidance to test our abilities.

The admission process was smooth. It took place during the COVID period so it was held online. The application form was available in their website sxcedu.com. the duration was more than enough to answer 2 questions. So no complaints regarding it.

To get admitted to Mass communication, you have to appear for a one-hour long examination which tests your creativity, your proficiency in English and your general knowledge. Some seats are reserved for SC/ST students but they still have to perform well in the entrance exam. Christians and students who have studied from the St. Xavier's School also get favourability.

My admission happened during the COVID period so our batch and the previous COVID batch did not undergo the general procedure which constitutes a written aptitude test and personal interview. The first list cutoff is 95% for the general category and 87% for the second list. Besides this Xaviers has various quotas such as sports quota, alumni quota, etc. which also can be availed if u fit the eligibility criteria.
