The choice of course that is political science has great application and is great need in yhe following time. The demand for employment in this field is in very much demand. Throughout a semester the college conducts to examination, mid sem and end sem examination.

- College is at the city centre. So, accessible from anywhere in Ranchi
- Availability of PGs, Hostels, Flats & rooms nearby

- The Faculty. They do not take any responsibility.
- Exams are not timely. There are more students in the college than actually needed.
Course Curriculum Overview:
BA in Political Science is just a generic course in this college. The syllabus that they follow is of Age old Ranchi University. It needs to change. There is a big scope for that. They should improve it.

- I liked the overall atmosphere of the college. I really appreciated how the college has all the facilities for students like canteens, drinking water
- The teachers were also friendly and were open to interactions. They helped with many projects and doubts.
Dislikes
- Some of the washrooms came out to be dirty and not maintained. The sanitary pad boxes were empty.
- There were always loud noises coming from auditoriums when there were functions.

I had always wanted to choose this course. I always had a keen interest in english language and culture. Studying this in Xavier's made me get a strong hold of the language and vocabulary. It sharpened my ability to think and analyse. This particular course also kind of prepares you for the real world experiences. The teachers used different methods of teaching. The only thing I would want to be improved is that some professors just read out the text without making the points clear. So that I one minus point I would say. The exams conducted are not too hard or not too easy. By writing exam you can also increase your writing speed.

I pursued this course because this course not only helps us to know about the history of English but also helped me to enhance my knowledge and helps me to do critical things as well. This curriculum will help me for my further studies as I want to be a professor too. Till today I didn't find any areas where improvement is needed. The timings of exams and difficulty level depends on ourselves as if we are prepared before hand there's not soo difficulty.

I was a upsc aspirant in inital days of my college and so I choose the subject sociology as I heard that St. Xaviers's ranchi's department of sociology is too good and yes it is really upto the mark in real as well. Teachers teaching methods are good enough to make you understand the whole theory in a proper way.

Classes timings are a bit different from usual. Teaching methods are apt and comprehensive for better learning. There are usually four classess in a day. Timing improvement is needed though and for any queries visit the college website pls

- I like the way my teachers teaches me and I like the cleanliness of my college and books. I love the canteen food they serve it in a very higinic way and with spoon,fork and tissues . there is parking area as well.
- My principal is very good and teachers are very professional.

My couse is sociology and my aim is to serve the society in each and every way possible. My teachers are professionals and they teach very well and I understand their explanation clearly. Teaching meathod is not very complicated they read first and explain everything briefly. Term exams are held each 6 months semister wise and no they are not that tough whatever questions are asked are related to the topic our teachers teach.

- Talking about infrastructure it is very clean.

- Everything inside the college is good except the girls washroom. It is poorly maintained,unhygienic.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I had great interest for learing the past that's why I selected history honours. There was 6 semesters. There were 2 compulsory papers and 1 generic paper in sem 1 and 2. In 3rd,4th,5th and 6th sem they have 3 compulsory papers and 1 generic. You will get option to choose generic after admission process is completed. There were 7 faculties for history honours including HOD. We had a class of 75 students in day section. The faculties are very cooperative and supportive. The professors were highly qualified. Most of them have doctorate degree. Some professors provided notes and some of them refered books for self study. So there were total 6 semesters. Each paper was for 100 marks. You have to give mid sem of 30 marks in which 15 marks was given in assignment and 15 marks was mid sem. End sem comprises of 70 marks. If you study well in class you can get decent score in exam. One thing I like about Xavier's is that they conducted exam regulary on time.
