Among all the degree colleges of commerce in Calcutta, Sivnath Shastri has the best faculty and course design.
All of our teachers are good, and the infrastructure is superb. Our college is also great in academics.

Dislikes

There are no placements or internships, but they might provide placements for some other courses.
There is nothing as such, just a canteen with very bad food. Half of the time, the only staff appointed is missing

I really liked the new professors, I could connect with them better since their age gap was less.
The college fees is less as compared to other colleges.

The college needs to improve in cleaning facilities
My college infrastructure is small and the course completion is not taken seriously.

Placement Experience:

The semester students of their respective streams are informed about the placements via official whatsapp group. From second year onwards we can give interview on the visited companies like TCS , Bharat matrimony and are informed about job fairs with companies like Unilever, unifound. The students who are interested give it a try and they can get the placement if they are eligible. I have only attended a job fair and it was an average experience as the recruiters emphasized on clearing the semester first. I'm in 6th semester currently.

The faculty and discipline of the college is absolutely commendable. If you're attending the lectures regularly
The social life is amazing. They encourage you to participate in cultural activities both intra college and inter college. This gives a lot of exposure.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not very modern but I wouldn't complain because that's what made the environment for education somewhat.
The common room is an absolute joke. So practicing for fests would be a task.

Placement Experience:

We receive placements fron banking sectors as well as IT sectors. The placements aren't the best because more students studying bcom just opt for higher studies but even if you're opting for job after bcom, a starting package of 20-30LPA is expectable.

The Faculties are very well behaved and friendly with their students always ready to help the students in any aspect
Infrastructure was good, clean toilets class room library every thing was neat and clean

Dislikes

Canteen area is too small it's must be spacious and more numbers of staff in canteen

Placement Experience:

From semester 5 students become eligible for campus placement. Some renowned company's Placements are given to students like Wipro, TSC, Mahindra Tech and many more. Starting annual package offered to the students are 7lakh- 8lakh About 70% students gets placement

The Teachers are very helpful . They guide students very well .
Great Classrooms . There are smart boards, white boards , projector.

Dislikes

They make students do Clerks' job like recordings your own marks in the website.

Placement Experience:

As per my experience , it is best to get a job after passing 6th semester. Both for learning & knowledge. It would be a little average to Join a job with zero knowledge. I already got the degree and now am preparing for Masters.

The professors are really eager to guide us.
Frequent events held in the campus lighten up our college life.

Dislikes

Students are not allowed to use the elevator.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because of my interest in English Literature. At present there are 70 students in our course and 5 English Professors. The faculty is very helpful and the professors make good use of both digital learning and traditional methods. Students have to write an exam every 6 months and need to really work hard to achieve their desired results.

Our college rating is very good and for my course the college is one of the topmost college of kolkata and the faculties of our college is very supportive and in our college there are many extra curriculum activities are available. That is why I choose this college.
