Internships Opportunities:

Every year college oraganises a 2 month DSKC internship which was the best. Students from different college and places would join the research works done. It was really the best part about vacations .

Miranda house at a Glance.

Being a women's college, it provides safe environment for the young monds to grow. The safety and security is paramount. The cleanliness and maintenance of the campus is appreciable.
The faculty is most supportive to students is whatever field they want to pursue. They are guide and career counselor as a whole. The classroom doesn't feel like burden, rather it is something we enjoy every moment with our professors.

To be honest there are nothing to be disliked about this college.
The administrative department can be made a bit more fast track.

The internships opportunities provided are basically social or corporate. The legal bodies approach these students to volunteer. The interships opportunity in United Nations, NGOs, fellowship programs with stipends ate provided

The Most Geniune Review as a First Year student.

Science faculty is extremely good, helping and supportive.
From peers to seniors everyone is cheerful and sweet .

Less seats in hostel . Accomodation is one of the biggest problems.
High traffic and weather is too humid .Will take a lot of time to adjust with the surroundings.

The companies are from government to private sectors which provide a good amount of stipend to a fresh intern in management to marketing.The projects gives an individual a greater outlook towards cooperate life from its pros to cons .The projects are time managing and market handling which gives us good experience to add it on our cv's.

There is a very supportive and positive environment in the college.
The faculty is so helpful and student friendly.

There should be air conditioners in libraries.
The rules for entry is very strict. There should be e - I cards as well.

Miranda????

The experts trained us to face the challenges of the world and I have no regrets in choosing this.
Quality education and quality infrastructure was ensured by Miranda and not even at one point we felt it was not upto the par. Besides it such a beautiful campus you’d want to see it everyday.

There was a little elitism but then again it didn’t make our life so miserable either.
The administrative delays were the worst and is extremely frustrating

Miranda offers various internships are Deloitte, KPMG and other NGOs as well. Roles include research analyst, marketing intern and so and so. Ans stipends starts from 5000-15000 per month and there is always an opportunity waiting.

Teachers are very skilled and patient with students. Classrooms are also updated with digital boards and the students who don't have laptops are also provided with systems on which they can work on in molecular modelling course.
The labs are very clean and updated for bsc chemistry honors course.

The classroom furniture is old and made of wood so it is not that much comfortable
The canteens are very crowded during the lunch break and even during other times.

I didn't opt for any internship opportunities because I had to prepare for upsc otherwise the placement cell is very active and many of my peers directly got selected for MSc in this college itself. They also got a chance to work with other universities for research work with the help of connections with professors.

Happy College life

Infrastructure: when I talk about the infrastructure of my college it is built up.wid the red bricks and this red bricks show the sign of delhi University and i studied in a most prestigious college and It gives a good feel of studying there.
Nature: lawns of the college is maintained very well and we can even sit lie and the cats that rome in and there is and the scenarios from class when it rains and those days are memorable and lovable and livable forever in my heart. I liked Miranda.

Placement Experience:

Talking about the placement I can say from 2nd year that means the 4th sem completion students are eligible to apply for placements and write the exams the company conducts. And these placements gave somany opportunities for students to know how the hiring takes place and most of the students got placement with minimum package of 12lakh perannum. The highest average package for economics students is 17 lakh per annum and minimum is 6 lakh per annum. Almost 50 companies visited for the placement where the economics students are eligible for it. Most of the companies hired most of the students from economics department only. Most placement happened in economics department. It depends on the performance of the students in the placement their curricular Vita and the experience they had on the company internships etc. I planned not to sit in placement I thought doing my post graduation in economics from good reputed college then I also thought of doing junior research fellowship in economic

Miranda my home and my happy place

Infrastructure is very very good and it's not only good it was best .first thing I liked the most is the infrastructure and also my favourite basketball court. Miranda has the best basketball court in India and have the best basketball players.
As a girl you will got the feeling of real freedom and independence which we lack in schools and in our homes. A place where nobody going to judge you for your clothes and long stays at college.so again I will say go for it without thinking anything.

There is nothing to dislike about it . There is always a scope of improvement so I will say it needs little improvement

There are lots opportunities come to college many ngo and private company contact our college for internship project and all. I have got the internship from vidhya bhawan society for teaching in rural areas of rajasthan and it was a paid internship. I have got the refund of travelling and food plus per day sallary.

The infrastructure is really amazing like hostel facility, canteen, playground etc
The environment is really good. You get so many opportunities to learn new skills.

Hostel facility should be made more accessible to students and seats should be increased.

The college annually provides DS Kothari Research Centre internships for all science students and also conducts department wise exams for various other scholarships. These reasearch projects are published in the annual magazines of the university and sometimes are forwarded to the various civil authorities for the implementation of good governance.

Our college itself offers summer internship opportunities in various fields, that ends with a poster presentation and review paper submission at the end , Also students can apply for VCIS internship scheme which need you to qualify interview and gd. Thwre are several other internship opportunities.
