As it is an autonomous institute its syllabus updates very often as per industry norms. Every course is designed very carefully considering the needs of the industry and can help in competitive exams as well. But there is always room for improvement, rather than being theory oriented teachers should teach courses practical or application-oriented.
The curriculum is great. It is mostly GATE-oriented. We do have some unnecessary subjects but students can clear them easily. We also have interdisciplinary subjects which are necessary for overall development but at the same time, feel like a burden. We also have elective subjects.

In terms of relevance computer course does stand strong and teaches us the basic required to survive in the industry. But in coep they still follow course a decade before curriculum and needs to be updated with the trending technologies in the industry.

The curriculum of COEP is pretty much similar to that of IITS. It follows a orthodox curriculum which has its pros and cons. The core subjects are very good which gives knowledge about our course from basics and also helps for future opportunities like Gate. There are few things that can be better like removing the IFC course which is of different branch that I don't feel useful. Also here we have 3 exams in a semester which makes our schedule hectic instead of that there should be only 2 exams in a semester.

The course curriculum is generally well designed and up to datewith industry standards and technological advancements . Specifi aspects that influenced my decion totake this course are Emphasis on Fundamental Concepts , Practical Learning opportunities , Interdiciplinary Approach. The curriculam of COEP is designed to equip students with thenecessary skills and knowledge to excel in both professional and academic endeavors. Area of improvements are Integration of emerging technologies , Enhancing soft skills development , Industry Exposure . Exams at COEP are typically held at regular intervals throughout the academic year. The timing and frequency of exams are reasonable, allowing students sufficient time to prepare.

Computer engineering and information technology. Curriculum is well planned and this curriculum changes after every 5 years..basics are comman for all branches in first year and ghen from second year branch wise changes..first year is boring then intrest arises..computer engineering and information technology is still better than other

For the first year our curriculum was a mix of all the stuff that we have learnt uptil now and just a little deeper, but according to the nep , there have been sugnificant changes in the system and everyone has been taught their course specific subjects and thus the relevance is much higher. I'd say the exams are too close by each other , cause there is exactly a months gap between all the exams .

the curriculum is revided every 4 years and thats why it is very aligned with the industrial needs and trends. The board whihc decided syllabus also have memebers whihc are professionals in industry. The curriculum very well prepares students and hence that helps to get interships and placemetns both in and off campus. The lectures are 9 to 5 which is little bit tidious for students as it have only 1 hr break for lunch. Also very frequently lectures get cancelled. So for localites it is frustrating. I would like to college to work on these two things. There are total 3 exmas, 2 Unit tests 1(T1, T2 20 marks each) and end sem of 60 marks. Approx 30 days gap is there between every exam.

The relevance and comprehensiveness of a course curriculum can vary based on factors like industry demand, faculty expertise, and updates in the field. It's recommended to consult recent students or faculty members for the most accurate assessment.

In India there is huge market for it experts and growth in this industry is trimendous so I opted for computer science course College spend significant amount of time on development of students. Faculties are quite good compared to other college faculties,
You should prefer COEP IT. It is among the top engineering colleges in Pune. The institute offers better academics, faculties, and placements. Each year around 95% of students get placed in the IT branch. The recent highlights of COEP Pune placements show the average CTC for IT to be around INR 10-11 LPA. Barclays, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, etc. are some of the major recruiters for the IT branch.
The video below gives you an overview of COEP IT
So, it can be concluded that COEP IT is a better option than IIIT Pune CSE
